I always like to compare what other artists are doing around her and, well, some have « long pre-release eras » like CAS (5 months), some have shorter ones (2-3 months, like Billie or Omar Apollo). It really depends on how many vinyl variants there are and when was the masters submitted to physical production (which is always the big question). so, back to Lasso, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a very short pre-release era this time around, like less than three months. 2024 is packed and GP is moving on very rapidly from new releases; labels all want big numbers on week one and have buzz around a new release, but they need for the pre-era to not drag on so much this time. here’s Metacritic’s list of upcoming releases : https://www.metacritic.com/browse/albums/release-date/coming-soon/date#google_vignette Many artists have yet to confirm their release dates. Unless it’s Hey Blue Baby or Stupid For Being Happy (although I rewatched when she did it at the Coalition show and didn’t find the verses very interesting… But the chorus and bridge were still very good) I think it’s time for @hotshot2am to make his computer magic and see if there’s anything in Lana’s website source code

Thank you I kinda want to believe this a June 7th release would be so incredible… But even if it’s not happening, I wouldn’t necessarily trash that note: 2024 is packed with new releases and labels seem to change their mind all the time with upcoming releases.

To be honest, I’m kinda tired of the whole snippet / info dump / new song title going on lately in the Lanaverse. Do I love a good unreleased? Of course, but I’m kinda tired of « white whaling » after any new piece of info and snippet of something we have no clue when we’ll hear it I’m way more excited for Tough and Henry

Forever grateful that this album came out the summer I got this huge breakup I’ve processed so many emotions and grievances with UV. I’m eternally grateful for UV even if I don’t come to it as often as I used to.

I think that The 13 track-long is from a post from someone who commented under the NME post where she talks about Lasso. Our own marcodelrey posted a print screen of that guy / « insider » comment (he said the album has 13 tracks, collabs and no interludes). I don’t think however it’s the first time I saw that Lasso has 13 tracks, but I’m not sure where I saw that before.

Metacritic has a list of upcoming albums and they’re also saying it could come out in September, though it’s in the « not confirmed yet » category

Im not expecting anything Lasso-related on her Boston show TBH… unless, maybe, Tough is released around that date and Quavo is invited to collab with her? But hey, look at me being so delulu, after Hyde Park last year, I shouldn’t have such high hopes
