I’d love a June 5 release for Tough: it’s my fucking birthday

Not sure if it’s the same insider who posted under the NME question or if it’s another one or if it’s just someone snowballing someone else’s info; @marcodelrey was our detective seeing the « insider »’s post. Lasso having 13 tracks and a couple of collabs is something I’ve seen around, on Twitter… Although OB’s situation was different, song titles had been on a couple of sites like Genius and some titles turned up to be true.

Im with you both! Even a September release is not out of the question right now. Elle meeting Lana and she confirmed it was coming before the end of the year gives me hope Elle isn’t some rando fan, Lana knows who she is and loves her, she wouldn’t give her BS info. Anyways, this new « insider » said the Boston show would be where she’d confirm something… We’ll see, but I’m not too worried at the moment.

It’s usually the final mix she posts… but then again, NFR era, How to Disappear was the demo, Hope wasn’t exactly the same and Cinnamon Girl had more bass (although that one could be because she was listening to it in her car) @marcodelrey also said someone had commented under the famous post that has us spiraling for five days now (when she’s asked about Lasso by the Name guy) about the album having 13 tracks… And it’s not the first time I see that number (maybe it’s just me manifesting ) one of the collab has to be Nikki… it’s inevitable. Kinda hope it’s not more than one

For once, I am not starving for a new Lana LP (Billie has an incredible album I still listen daily and CAS will release theirs in July). but a cute summer song would be welcomed. A couple of unreleased tracks could also do the trick

Lana is in a very comfortable situation here that she doesn’t even know she’s in: imagine Lasso tanks and nobody listens to it (which is hard to believe, but who knows?), all she has to do is drop a 10-song collection of leaked stuff, just like she did with Say Yes to Heaven. No promo, she doesn’t even have to play them at any show and boom! She has a solid freaking hit.

My favourites are Chihiro, L’amour de ma vie (over extended mix - the way the auto tune goes wild with her voice is soooo gooodddd ) The Diner and Bittersuite-Blue (can’t listen to Blue without the end of Bittersuite that transition so well into it) Wildflower grew on me a lot. The Greatest is the best « ballad » of the lot

When LB is having scrapphobia, the album is about to be announced Im sure Henry will be on Lasso. Saying this again, RBFY aside (but we knew it from the start, with her caption), all the songs she teased with a snippet ended up on the album.

The thing is find so funny is that Radiohead was also a contender for the theme song for the same movie. Both Lana and Radiohead released their version and well, they both slap way harder than Sam Smith’s If Lana does a Bond theme, I hope it’d be for a GOOD Bond movie, and Spectre wasn’t at all.

Until last year, vinyls had to be submitted five to six months before release. Artists and labels tend to announce the album / preorder three months after submission, to have a shorter pre-release rollout. But I’m not sure anymore if that timeframe is still the case. And I’m not sure if the rule is the same for every artist. Do the bestselling vinyls artists have to wait the same amount of time or can they « bump » the waiting list?

We need to know who is that person and how the heck do they know so much about this damn album Thanks, hun!

My interpretation is that the album is more LFL-esque than it was supposed to be. I mentioned it in the Tough thread, but the fact it’s getting a MV treatment, I wonder if her label pushed that song to be the lead and reshaped the sound of Lasso. Although I can’t see her label imposing anything on her since she was the second most-stramed female artist last year on Spotify (even if OB wasn’t very « GP oriented »)

This woman is so mysterious We all have very plausible interpretations of what she said and what’s worst is that all of them could be right, as far-fetched as they are

Country is not my forte… but I really love Henry because it’s more on the folk side / Not Those Who Wander Are Lost. But I guess it’s the rest of the album that will tell me if it was a brilliant move or not, going country.

She is gorgeous though. I mean, it’s her most BTD looks since BTD

Oh Lana… Is it done? Or did you mean that the « direction is going » is its reception by the GP / critics? Or did you have in mind « what is after Lasso »?

I barely made it out alive NFR was excruciating TBH. I think that all the singles being so incredible helped me cope a lot with the radio silence. At least I’ve got Billie’s new album to help me not get too anxious this time around. But I must say I can’t help myself from thinking the single is dropping « soon » when a snippet is posted. And what we heard was so summery and « bopey » that I want it like now

Didn’t he reply it was dropping next 🤫? I take it it’s next month, so June? But if Tough is for her album, two weeks from Friday could be possible… maybe? They honestly shouldn’t have posted that damn snippet a month before release TBH

Apple Music has discounted the album at 4.99. Interscope really wants her to have a chance against Tay-Tay
