she is becoming mad in season 7. She then executes mercilessly the Lannister army and doesn't budge about the whole «bend the knee» thing. The closer she gets to the throne, the more determined she becomes. It happened fast because she lost Jorah, Missandei, 2 dragons, Varys and Tyrion's trust and Jon turned on her. What was left? She was alone, in a land where she wasn't welcomed and the throne is finally there. Too much happening too fast.

There were so many hints that Daenerys could turn mad, since day 1. So it's no surprise it happened. I was debating about the whole mad queen possibility at the end of season 6. I knew it always was a possibility, especially when she lost so many allies - friends - children in so little time. To me, that is reason why she snapped so fast: too much happened to her so fast. (By the way, if you watch season 7, you will see that she s stuck up on her «Bend the knee» motto, and it's pretty much the first step towards her corruption). Did I love her? Yes. Was I rooting for her? hell yeah. And yet, it's always been the tone of the show: very shakespearian. Dany is the epitome of someone with the best intentions that could do do the most horrible things in the end. I don't regret rooting for her and loving her. I loved Cersei even if she was evil. Both took their destinies in their own hands, but both lost their way in the process of wanting to rule. The creators wanted the whole thing to be done in 75 hours. HBO wanted to go to 100, since it was their number 1 show and it made a shit ton of money. They compromised by having longer episodes this season, which cumulated to 80 (approximately)

It was a very good ending, one where a lot of situations mirrored elements of the first episodes. - The Iron Throne was forged by a dragon and is destroyed by one. - Bran was the first victim of the series... but is now he ultimate winner. - It was fitting that Dany was killed by Jon. They always were the two forces emerging in parallel that finally met and her death had to be by him. - The first and last scenes of the series are the same: raiders going beyond the wall, except there is now hope where there was divide and destruction. Jon will be able to «rule» over the Northern population. And having another Targaryen on the throne when he murdered one would not have played in his favor if he had decided to become king. I'm surprised Drogon didn't kill Jon... but it looks as if he understood the throne had changed Dany. Plus he shared a sorta bond with Jon over the months and had a Targaryan lineage... there are also a shit ton of references to Lord of the Rings as well (the destruction of the throne by fire, which corrupts everyone, the Starks going their own way...).

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread

Who knows? The UV album is, to me, a capture of all the moments in her relationships (plus a couple of admitted references to her days when she was in a cult), where she felt it might be too much for her, where she knows it's not good for her and yet, she can't help herself but go back. These moments got exaggerated (like the paroxysm of «Am I masochist or what?») Was there real physical abuse? Who knows. But she got out of those relationships. Her songs are probably just a capture of her darkest moments in those relationships. I think she is someone who stands by her man when the going gets rough, and she sure seems to get drawn to bad boys. -

Honestly, if I'm right, I won't rub it in anyone's face. I don't have the answers, and I have been sometimes right, sometimes wrong , often in-between, over the last months. If I am wrong, I am man enough to write that I was wrong. I just don't give in to catastrophe scenarios when there is still hope the album will be out before fall (The limit for me will be when we hit the one-year anniversary of MAC and VB; if nothing is announced or released, then I'll panic). Anyways, someone her mentioned Doin' Time is promoted by her label to see if she can hit again... Don't expect the album to be announced or have a single drop before a couple of weeks, to let the song live on the charts (if it's possible). -

I agree with you. i aways felt her songs come from authentic feelings and a mix of situations, probably. She simply amplifies them / rearranges her story with a bit of fiction and elements of Americana. I don't think art is 100% authentic... and that's the beauty of it. The emotions that compelled and drove you to write and create are true, but the rest is creation. And there's nothing wrong with that. -

1. Her 3 faves from LFL, when she dropped the album, were Heroin, Yosemite and Tomorrow Never Came. In further interviews, she did say she loved the production of Coachella, and loved White Mustang and that's why she put out a video for it (probably not the entire truth, but she can't admit the whole thing publicly, I guess). 2. Maybe she had a change of heart, when it came to promo. Maybe there is something else going on in her life (everyone blames her LA friends, but nobody ever said anything about her new love interest, who is supposed to be toxic for her. again, this is pure speculation and we have no proof, except a tabloid report lol). I guess we'll never have the full story on that. However, I prefer to connect the dots with what we know from her. She admitted the 3 songs out are her favorites of NFR; maybe she doesn't have the urge that much to release the rest of it, even if she loves the record, with her 3 faves already out. 3. She is shit at estimating how long things take to get made. She said she wanted the poetry book out before NFR, and it surely took her longer. NFR was recorded over time, no rush and all, and it was a fun process for her, which she wanted to continue with the release (especially after the big era LFL was). But now, she has a super introspective record, a poetry book she is self publishing and that everyone over the world is expecting in the fanbase, a poetry book that is done but not physically finished... So she has a super personal record ... and it's early summer. Not the kind of record you put out at the moment (listen to the tracks out now or albums, everything is super breezy), unless you really the album to flop. Anyways, this is all speculation at this point, and overanalyzing the reasons proved wrong over the last months. -

Jesus... Let's all calm down. We are still in the projected timeframe release Universal announced back in January, when Hope was released (they said it was probably mid-year, so May to August). And did any of you who suffer from scrap phobia have relistened to the lyrics of the snippets? Her «introspective sad girl shit» isn't super summery. It's best suited for end of summer or early fall. The whole «album is scrapped or reworked» argument might be considered if, by September, we have no news. Before that, let's all stream Doin' Time and have too many drinks by the pool. -

That was the "official audio" video that was out when the song came out. It probably got deleted when the official video came out. it was cute, but was super slow (it was him and her looking at each other in slow-motion). -
A Case of You is my fave from her

When NFR is finally out, she better have an answer why it got so long for it to be out: any good interviewer will ask her that! -

Thanks! Well in that case, it’s not history repeating itself is it? Everyone is hungry for damn NFR!! -

She should just give us an approximative window. Maybe not right now, with her new single out, but like soon?!? However, the press release for Hope, back in January, said mid-year (May to August), and we're still in that time window. I won't freak out if we don't have news by July - August. However, if summer is gone and we have no news, I'm gonna get into the catastrophe scenarios lol. -

Did she ever mention why AKA took so long to be out? Was it because of different points of view with her record company? -

Ignoring questions or not answering them is one thing... deleting questions is another. Who knows why she did it... She wants the focus to be on Doin' Time? She is pissed we are asking her constantly about it even when she just released a new song? Or maybe there is something else she is not telling us. Everyone is getting impatient with her right now, though. As for MAC and VB getting left out of NFR, as of a couple of weeks ago, I thought it would be so stupid to do so, for the cohesion of the album and all. Now, I don't find the idea stupid: they will be 1-year old soon. -

I love Doin' Time, but I'd prefer for it to not end up on NFR. NFR, as for now, has 13 tracks and I want new tracks when it will be finally out. As much as I love the song, it's too «light» in tone compared to the rest of NFR. -

Are you referring to Jack's story back in February? Someone here said earlier that maybe it had something to do with the audio of NFR songs for her future live shows... After all, she did perform MAC and VB back in March... Like i said before, at this point, my best theory why NFR isn't out is because the poetry book took her longer than expected, she wanted it out before NFR, and now, she simply has a «too thoughtful album» that doesn't go with the season (summer releases are often lighter and breezy, so really not NFR). So maybe end of summer or early fall it will be out, when the season's right for it. people here have a tendency to jump rapidly to the conclusion that she now hates the album, that it's redone or scrapped completely. -

Is it consistency (or lack of)? Ok, Change could have had a bit more editing, but the deadline kinda got in the way. I see her songs as « I will give them the production they need to convey the right emotion »; if a simple production works, fine, why add something else (a bit like Joni Mitchell’s Blue album: acoustic and yet efficient)? I love Hope as it is, though it’s not meant to be listened to each day I think. -

I honestly don’t think so. It’s a « simple » song for sure for its production, and yet, it works perfectly when you live something in your life that is similar to the emptiness/ despair of the song. The piano chords and her voice become haunting. However, only one song with that kind of production would be enough for an album. -

Jack is working on something else. Don’t think « not-Jack » songs will be included on NFR. She probably wanted to have the poetry book ou first, but as usual, she is shit with time and it took longer. Now it’s summer, the albums out have to have a summer / lighter side and NFR sure ain’t in that vein. -

I love the song... but since it wasn’t produced by Jack, not sure it will end up on NFR. Plus the lyrics seem a bit « light » in comparison with what we heard from the album. -

Mine, in Canada, says alternative... That's a "problem" with her and with music in general: the genres are all mixed up. Halsey was considered alternative but now plays on pop stations, same with Bastille... And so on. Many of Lana's songs are a mix of many genres, though she used to be in the alternative tabs of music services. I wonder what are Interscope's expectations when it comes to her sales: because if they want pop numbers, it probably won't happen... -

Dont know what to think of that. It doesn’t look good for future releases to be « mood albums » (like UV, HM and surely NFR), I guess, if Interscope really wants a hit like BTD. Has Doin’ Time the power to be a huge success? And if so, how will it affect NFR’s release? So many questions...
