  1. I am expecting this website to crash out of all the disappointment after NFR is released lol. Seriously, I think it's gonna be a «HM 2.0» when it comes to the first attraction of the album: many songs will maybe seem bland to some of you at first listen or all the songs will sound «the same», but most of the ballads will be growers and slow burners, with a couple of songs that will stand out at first (like Cinnamon).
  2. I don't recall Shazam recognizing HTD, no. A couple of months ago, that would have made me jump in expectation; right now, I don't even raise an eyebrow. As long as she doesn't clearly states something tangible about NFR, this will probably be my state of mind regarding her. Even her last poem didn't do anything for me, even though I really enjoy her poetry.
  3. It’s realistic if the lead is out by the end of the month. If not, we must prepare for a long silence before a probably end of August or September release.
  4. The more I read your posts, guys, the more I get why some of you are disappointed in this era (though I believe we all are to some degree). To me, what matters the most, is good music, music I connect with and this era is serving me royally. I always loved piano and HM is my fave from her, so I don't mind the slower side of NFR and the piano ballads, even if some seem more simple (I was listening to Hope, this weekend, and it hit really hard because I could relate so much at the moment, to its softness, its lyrics). Visuals, photoshoots, magazine are really not that important to me, not where she is in her career (her videos had to be iconic when she began but now, she is established and she can afford a more basic era when it comes to visuals). True, she could give more info, especially as time flies by and we are in limbo, but are we so frustrated because we don't like what she is giving us? She did say, in concerts, that the album was a lot like Change, that she would want to publish her poetry book before the release, that she was doing pretty much zero promo for this one. Plus the Universal release in January said mid-year... But then again, it's Lana and everything she says is to be taken with a grain of salt, even the real infos she gives us.
  5. The song in the trailer didn’t draw my attention to it. Her face, Stunning?!? She looks like an ageless creature who had way too much work done in her face! She used to be so beautiful; now she edges on Joan Rivers Used to love her. Have All the respect for her songs and her determination. But I must say that her latest albums haven’t really seduced me. Maybe she will prove me wrong with the album. But her face, her face... I find it a bit ridiculous to want to have a 20-Something face when we all know she is 60. mod note: user was warned for this post
  6. Yeah, but the music is forgettable as fuck. Plus have you seen Madonna’s face!?? Couldn’t process anything else. mod note: user was warned for this post
  7. last week or the one before, the three singles had 68M. Not bad for a record with zero promo.
  8. So... the song could be on NFR? Unless it was a trio meant for the MGK album...
  9. It’s true that she was super open during that era. But it also played tricks on her: the interviews about Yosemite, for instance... Maybe this is why there aren’t that many interviews this time around: she’ll only talk about the stuff will really be out. Honestly, since it will cost a dollar, why not have it PDF’ed with the album? Like a deluxe packaging? I do see a lot of similarities in the narrative of NFR and her poems, as if they were monologues / intro to the songs.
  10. It depends what you mean by nothing. She seems to be going into full poetry-release mode. Whether we love her poetry or not, when Violets is out, next step is NFR. It’s not album news, but we can read between the lines what next. V mag will probably be our main source of info for NFR. Thing is that things are probably taking as much time as usual but this time, we knew exactly when everything started. With LFL, she kept many things in the dark at the beginning (we had no idea when she was shooting for ELle, V Mag, etc). So when everything was out, it was as if it was out of the blue. Now we know the day the shooting was done and we hope it will be out in the next week because we are so thirsty for anything.
  11. Didn’t you read the article she did in January? At that time, it was 13 songs on NFR. I don t expect much more than that.
  12. It seems it was for VMag, which is released every two months, I think? So it would be for the May-June issue?
  13. Sometimes, I wonder if she thinks that mentioning releasing the poetry book before NFR back in SEPTEMBER was enough for her. Like, in her mind, she said back then that’s what she’d do and she doesn’t need any more explanation. Doesn’t she read the comments everyone is bombarding her with?
  14. It always depends. The role of a manager can be interpreted in many ways. But the bigger the star becomes, the more she has, most of the time. As long as she is working and respects her engagements (going into studio, going on set when asked, doing shows, etc.) , the role is fulfilled. And they seem to have a pretty loose management style with her since she is always True, she doesn’t give any updates, but they seem to think it’s not their job to pressure her. Though at this point, they should at least ask if she plans on releasing NFR in this decade. I’m wondering if maybe she will post them all on Insta and Twitter because she fears she wont have enough physical copies for it.
  15. It’s true though. I had forgotten about that. Plus the interviews had been the week before... So maybe on the 21st then !
  16. And it’s her birthday. But I doubt it will be on the 21st: the show in Ireland is the day after, she does have to get on the plane a day or two before. It would be odd to have the record be released while she is flying overseas... June 14 maybe. It’s either June or end of summer. She’d be crazy not to release it by July, but who knows.
  17. Someone did a couple weeks ago. It was Terrence I think? The psychic said closure by end of April and album in June.
  18. It’s honestly hard to tell. In the HM era, she said herself she pretty much had all the liberties she wanted. But with LFL, she sat down with the company to decide what would the singles be. Sometime, I see the three fan singles as a way to prove to Interscope that despite no real radio-friendly single, the songs would do great with critics and fans. We honestly don’t know what happens behind closed doors. If NFR indeed has no real banger, LDR7 will probably more oriented to having a « more approachable » sound, I guess?!?
  19. I think she keeps tracks up her sleeve to have options, in case she wants to include them on the next project (which is super rare though not impossible: Old Money and BPBP are examples) or on an eventual unreleased collection. It's true that some of her best songs were leaks, like Fine China and Your Girl (can't fucking wait to hear The Good Life in full also), but I don't see all the excitement about some of the songs before BTD, honestly. I'm pretty sure the first time we heard of July 21, it was in a French magazine (not sure though which one), and nobody believed it. She had to tweet just after that the infamous date to confirm. I wouldn't be surprised if we had the release date of NFR in V mag. If it is the case, it would explain why she doesn't want to say anything about the date yet, since it will be in the interview (she must by now have a better idea, even if she still wants the poetry book first, that project must be taking shape and she must have a better idea of both releases)
  20. Is there anybody who thinks the official date might be revealed with the V interview? I can’t remember if the July 21 date was first brought up by her tweet or a magazine interview?!??
  21. Thanks!!!!! The rumour about the name can finally be put to rest!!!!
  22. I hope the title stays the same. it's so legendary and iconic. You can't have a more American icon than Norman Rockwell, and we all know her music always has Americana references in it. The fucking brings back the irony and subversiveness we all love about her. Plus the song is a "jab tot the male ego" like someone said here. She always had great album titles, but that one is very bold. Best American Record would have been too, but Norman Fucking Rockwell is a step up from that.
  23. I wouldn’t mind either of it was slightly changed. But can she release a song where she says Norman Fucking Rockwell in it?
