  1. Get Free was different: they key progression was similar to Creep. And it’s debatable if it was too similar (apparently, they agreed it wasn’t similar enough. But for a registered name, someone must have asked the question if it was legally possible.
  2. What is bugging me about the whole Rockwell estate being against the title is that Lana stated she had the title in mind last March and announced it in September: and yet nobody in her management or at Interscope said anything before that???! Plus they issued, with universal, the press release in January for Hope, with the album title, while they still were in talkings with the Rockwell estate?!? Isn’t it someone’s job at Interscope to make sure The title would be ok with everyone?!?
  3. The two are maybe « linked »? There are similarities with some of her lyrics... you’re right she should have switched the two.
  4. Like I said earlier, that era started so strong, with the 2 singles
  5. Cage the Elephant - Night Running (with Beck) and Goodbye Sky's Downhill Lullaby Weyes Blood - Cardamom, Ashes Dido- Hurricanes The National - Light Years
  6. What were the latest predictions? End of April for the lead and June release?
  7. She said she'd like to have a video for it... That one could still be true, if Bartender is on NFR (though I must say I am not sure at all about the video). She really tells too much of what she wants to do, without thinking before if it's realistic with her schedule.
  8. RMF Classic Radio mentioned the date for the first time. it was then picked up by MTV UK and Billboard, which seemed legit. You do make a good point. But she did what nobody does in the music industry: have a pre-release era of 6 months+. Five is usually top.
  9. Yeah, she is shit at guessing how long something takes to get made.
  10. Honestly, most of the lies she tells is due to the fact that she is shit at trying to figure out how long things take to get made. She also revealed that she had 17000$ in credit card debts, that she paid off when her music made big bucks. I believe she did live in a trailer park and had some debts, but maybe her dad helped her a couple of times though.
  11. Not until Jack’s schlong has been mentioned for the third time.
  12. Even her whole background as a trailer park broke songwriter was questioned since her father is apparently rich. Though it doesn't mean that he is generous lol
  13. Like I've said before, to me, Hope is hauntingly beautiful and honest. But it is a little tough to listen on its own if you're not in that mindset. Exactly like Heroin or Change (to me at least). In the context of the album, it will probably make more sense (Coachella didn't make much sense with the other singles of LFL before the album was released, but had its place right there on LFL).
  14. I think the last video she wanted for LFL was either Cherry or Get Free?!? just the word SOON is kinda lie from her.
  15. Yeah there even was a countdown and all, the days before. It really shows that the March 29 date had become «universally believed» to be the release date.
  16. Thank you for the positive perspective It’s really easy to get caught up in despair. It helps to have things put in perspective.
  17. It really depends on what is on the album. If NFR has anything like the 4chan "report" said it had, the album will draw attention to it and people will be curious if there is indeed a dis track or a legendary musician as a feature. NFR really is expected by everyone at this point. She just needs to finally put out a release date. It looks as if nobody is making a decision and everyone is waiting for the other party to make a move.
  18. And to think that this era started so stunningly, with 2 incredible singles...
  19. Good question. I know I would buy it legally when it was officially out... But I don’t know. I haven’t listened to BAR until it was official it wasn’t on the LFL tracklist. I can’t help but feel bad for her when leaks happen : she has put her heart and soul into it and out of impatience, we want a leak. That being said, it would be torture to know it is out there and not want to listen to it. Plus it’s fucking been so long already.
  20. Honestly, I had the same feeling when she teased HTD and Cinnamon this Fall; I though: album coming soooonnnn! Then, it was Hope and IYC: okay, so new single, dry period over, things are picking up again, the album is coming sooooonnnnn! Next week was the new snippet, so lead single is coming.... who the fuck knows? If nothing happens in April, no lead and all, then NFR will be a no-show until August.
  21. « Lock it » is the « It’s a mess » of this era. They are both incredible songs, but I don’t think it’s super realistic to believe she could reuse them for a new album. The only place is see them is on her collection of 25 previous songs, if she ever decides to do it.
  22. Her fan base wouldn’t mind. But outside of it? Not so sure. People are extra sensitive. I wouldn’t be surprised if they said it was promoting killing violence and is insensitive to victims (just to be clear: I don’t share that point of view)I’m not sure she wants to revisit that part of her lyricism though. She kinda toned down the whole violence thing, even if it never was literal. This is where I see that she has « matured ».
  23. It’s a great song but in the politically correctness we are now living in, i’m Sure she’d get a lot of criticism and would be called insensitive :/
  24. True, but the story changes a bit with each album. She is more and more honest and her men change also with each album. On NFR, they don’t seem as « strong » as on BTD or UV (they kinda seem more douchey on LFL and NFR also lol). She also seems less dependant as time passes. I guess the writer’s block comes when there are no men lol.
