I’d be happy for new Lana music but could it be that her team is simply moving the festival merch there?
-
The comparison is inevitable because they’re both huge stars doing something new, and Beyoncé has been able to shut her detractors up. I really wasn’t into Cowboy Carter before its release but this is brilliant and it feels very fresh. will Lasso sound like Cowboy Carter? Of course not and it honestly shouldn’t. I’m sure Lana will do a Lana album, which is a good thing, the same way Beyoncé did a Beyonce album in the end. but the comparison with Beyoncé might come up if Lasso doesn’t allow her to step out of her « comfort zone », if it sounds too much like Chemtrails 2.0 or Blue Banisters’s little sister.

I am completely stunned by Cowboy Carter… and I didn’t even like the two singles. It is just incredible that proves that Beyoncé is a visionary. It both slaps and is intimate (which was a bit lacking in Renaissance, even though I loved it).

Lana to release new song "Henry, Come On" with Luke Laird - LEAD SINGLE
GeminiLanaFan replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
Indeed! 💯!!! Sadly for her, she’ll be inevitably compared to Beyoncé for her album, she needs a big song as the lead. -
Miley’s collab is good but Post Malone’s And nobody’s talking about YaYa’s having Nancy Sumatra’s These Boots Are Made for Walking as a sample?!?
-
Im not done yet with my first listen, but the two first singles might be the least interesting songs on the album?!? Lana, I’m sorry to say this, but you better step your pussy up with Lasso cause Cowboy Carter is INCREDIBLE.

Vidéo Games is featured at the end of episode 6 of the Netflix series 3 Body Problem.

I don’t think Taylor is plausible. Like they collabed for Midnights, I don’t think they’ll double down so soon. But hey, if it happens, I won’t mind, I like Taylor. Dolly would be legendary. Beyoncé is rumoured to have brought Dolly on her album, so I don’t know if it’d be a good idea, to have both « non-country » singers have Dolly on their respective LPs… Then again, I’d be happy if it was the case.

God she’s so random sometimes

The bows are cute I’m seriously happy to be a guy, so this merch is one thing I won’t be tempted to spend on (I’m not in love with the shirts…)
-
insider accounts are saying she will announce the new album next week and that radio stations are already receiving the lead these days, set for a April premiere 👀

Im adding The Acolyte to the bunch in my case: perfect birthday month

I choose to believe Could even be Sept 20 (it’s still technically summer)
-
BOZ said it had the very stripped sound of the COCc album, so yeah, I think it could end up on Lasso. Henry, Come On already reminds me of Not All Those Who Wander, so LYTAN wouldn’t be that far fetched IMO
-
If some of her songs sound like Kacey Musgraves’s latest, I won’t mind her country album at all.
-
Like I said before, spring will be filled with new releases, so I wouldn’t mind if she delayed the lead for Lasso to this summer. But a standalone single would be nice in the following weeks, around Coachella, or a nice unexpected collab
-
It’s honestly boringly quiet but hey, maybe it is because she is preparing for Coachella and putting the final touches on Lasso, therefore the album won’t be delayed

Some albums were worse than others to be fair. UV and HM had relatively smooth rollouts. LFL wasn’t that bad, in hindsight, although it was frustrating, not having a solid release date until late May. NFR was insufferable. BB was a pretty short pre-release, although a bit messy because we didn’t get much info from anybody until songs were released. OB was a step in the right direction, with no misleading info or album title too much in advance, but Lasso is back to the basics, I guess
-
Although i wish she’d do that, it’s not very much like her, to have a proper rollout
-
I fear the Dua fanbase is having their Solar Power moment, with this release It’s a very weird rollout to say the least. Love the music, although the first descriptions of the sound aren’t that accurate. I read she wrote like 97 songs for this one and the standard LP is 26-minute long with what? 11 songs?!? And that there is a deluxe on the way with 14 or 15 tracks? I mean, why the wait for the deluxe? Thank God for Lana who hates deluxe editions of her albums
