  1. The looks she serves at major award events constrat so much with the low-key music videos of this era. Not that I complain, but it's a real clash, though I love both.
  2. Agree. Hey Blue Baby is the best of the two IMO (the lyrics to the other one are great, but the melody feels unfinished), mostly because it has a good rythm, which is rare for Lana. The only way to include Hey Baby Blue on NFR would be for it to be a hidden track, very stripped-down. But we don’t even know at this point what is the closing track; maybe it would be horrendous beside that song. But honestly, I don’t see a future release for these two. We all know what happens when she says a song won’t make it on a record (looking at you, RBFY).
  3. So... she teased HIaB on March 29 this year and we are supposedly getting NFR on March 29 next year... Talk about being concept.
  4. Hey Baby Blue would be a cool hidden track. I always thought that the most « country » she would get was with Fine China... but she proved me wrong again.
  5. I don’t like country either but the two songs sound good actually. Well the « Blue Baby » one at least. The «Stupid for Being happy » is really just in the early stages. But hey, these two aren’t supposed to be on NFR (kinda hope they won’t be since everyone wants a cohesive album)
  6. What also threw me off, this time around, is that 2 reliable sources stated in January that she would release an album in 2018 made of new and unreleased / unleaked songs. Maybe it was the original plan, but sure as hell changed. Plus she mentioned 2 new titles in February (Bartender and Sylvia), plus the HIaB teasing... I was sure LDR6 was upon us haha. If the end of March date is real, then it would explain why she is so quiet these days: things will surely pick up in January and the pause is kinda necessary I guess. Plus she has the Gucci campaign in Jan. and her poetry book at some point.
  7. I think we'll need to keep in mind, for the future, that she doesn't do anything like anyone. A song teased on social medias could still be a long way from an official release.
  8. I must admit that a 6 month+ -pre-release period is super long. I was hoping for January, but January records tend to not sell that well or go unnoticed. February was plausible. At least now we know it should be March.
  9. You're right: we know nothing when it comes to her process. The snippets we heard might not even be all finished at the moment. I also suspect she is a bit more «scattered» with her other projects this time around (she mentioned so many in her interview) and Jack and her are working like 7 days per month on NFR... Could explain why it's a longer process this time around. We all wanted her to record with another producer, didn'T we?
  10. It's true that the relationship goes both ways and she does need us. But let's all be honest: if she postponed the album to 2024, we'd still stan her if the music's good. You're right: everybody is entitled to his-her own opinion. But I'm also tired of the reaction «she's gonna scrap it, she's gonna pull out another LFL» as if it was the worst shit in the world, and as if she was always playing yoyo with the direction of her albums all the time. The March 29 date, to me, indicates that she wants to take her time and that Interscope wants a good release period of the year (probably to have a #1 album again).
  11. And the drama unfolds... « She will scrap everything and it will be LFL 2.0 again and postpone it to the end of times » Poor little fragile souls suffering some sorta PTSD with LFL. Remember one thing: She owes us nothing. Sure, I crave for new Lana all the time but at least, now, we knoweheb it will happen. Sure, it’s a very long pre-release period and an lliogical one. But if we look back on things, since 2011, she gave us 4 LP, 1 EP, a couple of soundtrack songs and many collabs, which is more than many artists. So keep calm and carry on, guys. Go enjoy Christmas and the rest of your life.
  12. Ok, now we know. Yeah, it's far, but at least now we know. So we'll get on with our lives. And we won't be so jumpy as to expect a new single in December.
  13. Wouldn’t BTD be weird at an LGBT event for homeless kids?
  14. It’s one of the magazines that love Lana, so it is plausible. But where did they get the info? From the caption of the snippet? Or something from her management?
  15. Exactly. The day before, we heard the snippet and it sounded cute and all. Then Zane Lowe tweets the song is almost 10-minute long... My eyebrow was lifting after reading that. And nobody had predicted what we heard the first time we heard VB. It was such an amazing and powerful experience and she did that on purpose. Imagine if the snippet had previewed the psychedelic guitar... would have ruined the surprise.
  16. She loves contrasts in her songs and I think that brilliant line has 2 meanings (at least to me): she describes a super optimistic point of view in her song, and that relationship is kinda of her «everything», and yet the beat descontructed in a psychedelic way, therefore the «whatever» part. Hope to see what she sings. I really loved her Apple event performance.
  17. Yeah, I read that too! Don't know if it's that reliable : maybe they just based this on the last snippet we got. I agree with you@, of all the snippets we got, that one gives away nothing of the production. Though I expect the song to pick up just after she stopped filming. Love the lyrics though.
  18. https://www.elle.com/culture/music/a25357389/best-female-pop-singers-2018/?utm_medium=social-media&utm_campaign=socialflowTWELM&utm_source=twitter To continue the end-of-year praise for VB...
  19. probably never, She's the singer I've been waiting for all my life. My own story is similar in some ways to the one she tells in her records. And she has a gift of expressing exactly what I'm feeling at the moment she releases a record.
  20. It depends. When a new album is out, I need to listen to it form cover to cover to get the story / feeling of it. But at the moment, I listen to a selected faves from each album and it works incredibly well. Sure the feeling is different, but I am a bit surprised to see that the tracks flow very well together,Even when they are not close to the ones I am used to (VB, followed by 13 Beaches, Stargirl and Cherry sound amazing). But then again, she has always been cinematic in her music: each era changes a bit the genre, but the emotions feel sincere.
  21. The more Lana, the merrier. But if NFR has 11 or 12 tracks, it would be perfect since VB is almost 10 minute-long. HM is 60-min long and I think Uv is as well if we don’t count the bonus tracks. So NFR being 60 minute-long would be nice and cohesive.
