  1. I do agree that OB doesn’t really have a new sound and is pretty much on the same road of the last 3 albums but you also can’t deny that this album masters the sound of that road and is pretty impressive. Even from the start you immediately can tell that this album has much more thoughts and ideas behind it and much more well put together than say BB, COCC. Whether it’s the melodies, the strings, how her voice conveys a story this album is definitely one of her strongest. I mean if you don’t appreciate anything you still kinda have to admit that writing A&W, kintsugi, fingertips, sweet takes courage and to release those lyrics to the world?! To me it’s much more impressive than hm and even uv because you can tell that this is as clear and deep as Lana’s mind gets.
  2. If she does a tour (not festivals) I hope she brings out orchestra and backing singers. This album begs to be singed like that.
  3. I just checked and endless summer vacation did 120k with 55k pure and 80million streams. Now I’m not sure but if Lana has 85k pure already and the streams are shaping to be 60-70m we can get like 130k right?? Also whatever the numbers are, this album is just harder to consume whether it’s the pace or the personal lyrics which I love so it’s impressive no matter the position.
  4. Jack is amazing with melodies, songwriting and I too love his vocals on Margaret. He shouldn’t be allowed near trap beats tho, I had a 16 year old who did better tracks I’m sorry
  5. Also on the streams and numbers too probably. I myself didn’t really listen much in the first two days but I couldn’t get the melodies out of my head and went in a spiral of listening over and over. It’s weirdly a grower album.
  6. This album is easily her best vocally. Yeah she’s not doing anything crazy but her voice is so soothing and almost an instrument in the songs. The way she delivers emotions, going up and down like it’s nothing etc just pure magic. I thought some songs should’ve just been poems but the more I listen the more I understand how significant her voice is to understand and feel the record. This album definitely will be the record we look at 10 years from now on, not necessarily to listen and enjoy but to document Lana’s talent as a songwriter and a singer.
  7. This album didn’t click with me immediately unlike other albums and seeing a lot of people also thinking this way is validating. It’s definitely a grower.
  8. Enough time has passed so I hate the vb trap outro Taco Truck melody is good enough why didn’t they just write a second verse? It kinda kills my whole mood hearing the same aahhh I heard for the last for years and seemingly with no connection to the song? Kinda wished for an amazing ending to an amazing album just like it had an amazing opening.
  9. This album is the first Lana album to make me cry listening on the first listen. The Grants weirdly hits me as soon as the first verse begins and the whole heaven/family theme makes me uncomfortable and questioning of my life. Then the title track hits better after the opening with the don’t forget me lines. Afterwards the “creepy trio” of the album is my favorite part and is a whole mood on their own. Kintsugi and fingertips didn’t hit at first but listening and reading the lyrics they are most certainly the saddest Lana songs ever. That’s how the light gets in is a whole new perspective I’ve never realized until she said that so again that makes me question my life. The “fun” part doesn’t really do it for me yet except let the light in (mostly because of jacks production but that’s another story) so hoping they click as well.
  10. Now I’ve never ever been to a church or heard preaching to this interlude was kinda a shock to me. I love his voice, the tone and the whole pace, also the instrumental is amazing too. “I used to think my preaching was mostly about you but it’s mostly about me” parallels with Lana’s writing too. The creepy trio of interludes and candy necklace is my favorite part. I get why you guys don’t like it as you live around Christianity, I really relate to that living in a Muslim country.
  11. All these mike hermosa pictures make me wish that they had worked out😭 first he’s hot and the fact that they made an album like tunnel👌
  12. So I watched the lmlylaw music video again it seems to future a clip of Sean and also I believe the scenes of her dancing in the car was taken by Sean. the music video futures her family friends and the people that brings joy to her. So I’m pretty sure at the time of summer 2020 they were seeing each other again and maybe that’s when he cheated? I thought they were a couple in summer but Sean says they broke up in march so to me it feels strange that Lana would include him in a music video if they were completely done like 3 months ago.
  13. Nah that’s first week on first days Norman had 14 Chem had 11 end bb had 7 I’m guessing 20+ for ocean if they do some sort of good promo but that seems far fetched🤡
  14. Yeah the other day I noticed that I haven’t seen this woman on video in a long time and miss it so much (excluding interview mag vid)
  15. Thanks! Chase makes sense! Sorry i couldn’t keep up busy with exams
  16. So who do we think that the guy she talks about on the RS is? Weird they haven’t ever been pictured. I’m sure there must some sort of a picture of them. also was the bartender she talks about on bartender ever real or it was just some sort of a character?
  17. Yep I was thinking this too! If anyone knows how the industry sucks especially at a young age it would be Lana. She’s probably just making these young girls feel hyped up by someone they look up to and take inspirations from. I mean I’d be flying over the moon I was Olivia rn.
  18. Like earlier I was thinking how would Sean even have an affair with Lana when paparazzi follows her every step but then I noticed that Sean probably called the paps most of the time. We actually speculated about it back in the day and it would also tie with Violets for Roses and now A&W
  19. Hi! We’re so happy to be here! We’re gonna sing a couple of new songs from the last record and a few old songs. * proceeds to sing two songs from TUOB and 8 songs from BTD
  20. There’s a Dolby atmos stem vid about a&w on YouTube and it’s clear on there that she sings got a cop who turn down the backbeat. The cop is censored like we speculated.
  21. I also would love another “world building thematic album” but nonetheless her music process is so fucking interesting to see. For me the first three albums are more of a persona, they have a clear concept and a character singing. And that’s reasonable because she is in the beginning of her career and probably had those concepts for a long time and wanted to play that character. But post lfl she seems to write more on the current much more like the Lana that we see and post nfr we even see a deeper dive into that. Like I can imagine violets for roses, blue banisters etc in my head clearly but I can’t imagine the first three albums that clearly, they appear on my head kinda muddy when I try to correlate them with her because to me they written behind a character. This doesn’t she didn’t have those experiences and she is just a persona, I think her music is and always been personal, it’s just that they were written behind a curtain if that makes sense. Also this is why I disagree when people say she’s been censoring herself. To me she is being more honest than she ever was and since the “persona” is no longer there, it takes even more courage to sing about her memories and experiences. Anyway say whatever you say but her artistic growth will be so interesting to look back at 20 30 years from now.
  22. Who tf would date a celebrity in a secret affair tho
