Yeah I also think that it’s similar yet so different. This wasn’t like the jump from btd to uv to hm to lfl, the last three eras are much similar to each other. But comparing this to nfr and cocc it definitely feels different, I just want less pianos from now on.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting them to be this much ballads so I was a little bit disappointed at first but now that I know what I’m getting into I love them for what they are. She hasn’t told a story this much since forever and I’m here for it. I love the production expect for the drums in ww (it seems like I’m the only one who thinks like this but they kinda scratch my ears?)

You know I think she needs to be a little bit more “expressive” with her voice again. Listening to some older songs like blue jeans, cruel world, west coast, honeymoon etc her voice is so expressive she is conveying an emotion through it. We can still see it in her recent works like white dress and la who am I to love you but I just want for her to use it more often.

IMO the best rollout for COCC would’ve been this: Release White Dress as the lead single around November: White Dress is objectively a great song and critics would’ve loved it. It would’ve been a great way to promote this albums sound. Releasing LMLYLW was a mistake as it’s not an outstanding song and was not really a great material to grab the attention of the GP. Then release TJF around January with a great video and send it to radios and playlists. Tulsa could’ve easily become a hit and that would've gave COCC the streamings it needed. Lastly release title track 1-2 weeks before the album release as one last promo. COCC did really well on pure because of the endless vinyl versions that her hardcore fans bought. We can now see how it’s starting to go down on the lists as the people who wanted the vinyls already got them and now COCC sales are depending on streamings which it lacks.

I just feel sorry for COCC like she literally constantly said she ‘’wasn’t’’ sure about this album and then when it got released she immediately moved on??? P.S: do we think that maybe the reason she wasn’t exactly sure about COCC was that she was working on so many projects at that time that she got confused or thought that BB/RCS was better?

Yeah I get what you’re saying I’m sorry if I come out as rude. Chuck is not a bad photographer, I like her work with some other people but I think when it comes to Lana she’s just a little bit weak. Big, ethereal scenes suit Lana very well and Chuck simply can’t deliver that.

Re-listening uv and I hope she starts writing from heart again and stops censoring herself. "He hit me and it felt like a kiss/ I can hear sirens" always gets me. It's quite sad that she started with censoring get free and then played it safe with Nfr and Cocc. The only songs I can think of that we've seen her raw side lately is cinnamon and white dress.

I just want another successful era. Cocc literally dropped #38 points on b200...

Could somebody explain me the latter half of the latter part of the album? The first part she's talking bout leaving with her lover to get away from fame but then comes breaking up slowly? I can't figure out where they break up? At not all who wander are lost when she says but will you stay? Or in Yosemite?

Am I the only one who is bothered with her not singing the (if you're a friend to) "me" part? It seems to drop all of a sudden like it's been cut in the edit. Ruined the song for me.

Ok but can we talk about her vocals for a sec. It may seem like this is her most "whispery" record but I have to say achieving this sound is much harder than full on singing. Besides from white dress which we all agree on dark but just a game, Yosemite etc has some incredibly vocals. She's switching to her falsetto instantly which is so hard to do and she does that without a break or inconsistencies. ALSO THIS GURL LITERALLY BELTED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS IN DTWD CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT???
