I think a valid criticism of the song is how droning and basic the melody of the chorus is. And the agonizingly long the outro is without much differentiation in vocals or instrumental. The verses are beautiful and the bridge... fucking exquisite. It's interesting how collectively people love or hate a song, but it's hard to conceptualize why that is. This is also why I "dislike" the song Lust For Life
