I believe her ego became too big after how successful EH was as an internet cult phenomenon. FROOT was good but it lacked the "alternative" edge that her first album, even EH had it even with that more mainstream pop sound. Then L+F was called "bad" for being way too mainstream, but I think her original fanbase just felt betrayed that she changed her overall alternative artistry. And now Ancient Dreams is her trying to recapture the alternative image but fell flat even though is a good album, just not classic alternative Marina. Overall, Marina tends to believe she still is THAT bitch and she comes up bitchy or shady when she interacts with other artists (Ellie, Lily, Charli, Lana...) but tbh they all are getting bigger and better artistry wise while Marina is stuck in this strange limbo where she can't embrace mainstream pop because she feels too alternative, and at the same time she can't embrace alternative because her bubblegum pop persona exists ever since she aimed making music as good as Britney's. All this really hurts her art at the end. Note: I'm not hating on her, I love Marina and love every album. But I won't blindfold myself just because I'm a fan, the truth is that Marina got into this place she feared to get while making Electra Heart. Everything she feared on her song "Miss Y" happened, she became mediocre and with no personality in her art. She can do better, we have seen better from her. It's time for her to create better art, to be MORE HONEST and stop being "false woke" and "tone deaf". Just be fucking yourself MARINA, stop trying to show yourself in a fake manner just to act like you are "super good and woke" on social media, and then be shady to other artists and making music that sounds so forced and woke. I'm so done with her "America wake up!!!!!" persona, just write honest lyrics and stop rehashing your sound and make the same piano ballads that won't top Obsessions or Teen Idle.

Their entire third (shelved) album, the last one they recorded with Hollywood Records in 2009 between "Insomniatic" and their unreleased first independent album "Hothouse", just leaked full. The only two songs that were missing since the songs started to leak SLOWLY in during 2009-2011 are "Civillian" and "Damaged".

I absolutely hate how "As If" is not on Spotify. I fucking adore the title track of the "Cry Baby" album aka "99 Tears"

Yup, that TR deluxe track is the worst thing that ever happened in her entire career next to shelving XCX World. I find super stupid that she recorded so much material that she teased over and over and even played live, and either she, her team or her label didn't give a fuck.

I want it so badly

I want "Back of My Heart" and "Dedicated" to leak so badly.

This, and I agree that she might take a lot because she is a perfectionist, but why wouldn't she put out a NTMT B-Side Part 2 if she (most likely) already planned it before hand, that's why she called part 1. It makes zero sense even for her. I'm sure she is the one to blame, partially. But I can bet all my cards that she made someone important very angry, and everyone knows that Capitol has had issues with other artists in the past and has shelved albums (one example is Alexz Johnson's debut shelved album "Weight", all the songs were already mastered and they gave the public a release date, but a higher up said no to the album and it got shelved and she got dropped out even though she was very famous back in 2005).

I find really stupid that neither her or Capitol thought about releasing NTMT B-Side Part 2 just to keep: 1) the money coming 2) her relatively more active 3) her more relevant 4) her fans happy 5) momentum after NTMT Everything seems weird and stupid. Sometimes I think there's someone who really hates her in the label and prefers to not make more money out of her just out of spite.

Maybe in March they will release info about the album.
