I’ve stopped getting excited for her Instagram posts for at least a month now - I see a notification but rarely bother to check it out immediately because I “know” it won’t be about the album. Anyone else?

The excuse changes each time so I honestly can't keep up with what the most recent story is.

ummm I know you were already warned but what the fuck? are u ok? like in what universe is your response acceptable?

NASA, break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored and fake smile are definitely my favourites although I LOVE all of the tracks except in my head. It's actually kinda amazing how quickly this album was made because it's such a solid body of work and i never would have guessed an album this well crafted/polished could be made in 6 months.... lana take notes lmao

I think they were saying that it wasn't their favorite in THEIR opinion, not that it was a bad song... Calm down mammies No need to bring the hearing impaired and handicapped community into this as a diss either

She looks so happy! I'm glad. At least if she kills her music career with this era we know she's in a good place and that matters

I think the fact that she kept putting more and more in stretched the skin out, and that if she doesn't fill it her eyebrows droop downwards around the inner eye area. I just wish she stopped with the fillers. I don't care if she has wrinkles if the fillers fade, she's a pretty mama and doesn't need that!

Is it the end of an era?
Is it the end of NFR?

personally I love change. It might be the Lana song I relate to most (doesn't mean its my favorite or anything). For most of my life I've been extremely stubborn, terrified of change, and scared of what the future could hold. But just knowing that change will come, knowing that things can improve, and knowing that I can change as a person really makes me feel a certain way. I also enjoy hope though

I'm listening to Change and I honestly don't know why people hate this song so much. It makes me feel hopeful when I'm feeling sad. Hope just feels like Lana's story. I love it don't get me wrong, but I can't relate to church basement romances, or being scared to be in my million dollar home because the night guard took the night off, or being the most famous woman on an iPad, whatever that means.

Compared to Change where I can relate to the lyrics about being unstable, feeling like there's something in the wind, feeling like people don't try so why should I, that if I work towards bettering myself I can do it because the people who came before us showed us how powerful an idea of change can be and the power of being human.

I love both songs, but I really wish you guys would see the beauty in Change. Hope has beautiful lyrics, but Change has a beautiful message.

She contradicts herself like she’s openly said. She wants her music to reach a wide variety of people but at the same time doesn’t want to have a face in it. She wants for people to feel understood and wants to tell a story through her lens, but doesn’t want to be criticized for her past or present life. It’s obvious she just wants to put music out there without the glamour that was LANA DEL REY in the past. She’s gathered her coins and will always have an income with BTD. She will now lay low probably for the rest of her life and continue to do minimalistic promo and give us only music.

That's probably why reddit is scared of us but no I don't think anyone is serious. I think everyone is still disappointed and frustrated though, and we're all getting our anger out with passive aggressive posts, but at the end of the day whether we like it or not even if she released the album at the end of this year I'd probably listen to it while twerking angrily

I thought everyone knew we were just joking...
I don't think people are talking about boycotting her I just think we're talking about the fact that Spotify revenue will go down since she already lost 2 million monthly listeners and is continuing to lose them.

I don't think she wishes to go back to being unknown. She loves to work: whether it's music or poetry, she loves what she does. She also loves to perform live, to a certain extent (not a 3-year-long tour like she did at the beginning of her career).  She doesn't like however to do the promotion part: the endless interviews and such. She hates having to explain what she meant by that song, or if it was inspired by her life. With the UV era, one reporter asked her if she indeed had fucked her way up to the top; like really? He's really gonna ask her that? I bet she got tired of it. She prefers to release songs and have us do the math or leave it to imagination. With the LFL era, she chose the mediums and magazines that don't put her down. With NFR, she also said that she did much of the interview part (lol) before Hope was released: I guess she didn't want to explain it and justify such personal lyrics.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if she lost 4, 5 million followers/streamers/whatever. She will not starve. She will not go back to the trailer park. She will still be able to enjoy her wheat grass and her weed. The mansions and cars wouldn't go anywhere. But I'm sure it would serve as a wake up call of some kind. Everyone gets their wish... She wished to be famous and her wish came true, but she clearly came to regret it. Now it seems she wishes she could fade into obscurity...and I wish she'd get a taste of that. I don't think she knows what she wants tbh. Could be wrong, obviously, but that's the vibe I'm getting.

I had the feeling that with LFL, critics only heard it like a week before, on an iPod, to avoid all possible leaks... Anyways, that album was done like what? Two weeks before its release lol?

I agree with you. If you want a surprise release, you do it all the way, not half-ass way like it would be with NFR at this point.
  19. poetic jess liked a post in a topic by GeminiLanaFan in Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread
Highly doubt it at this point. The ones that had the chance to listen to LFL months before its release were the reporters who did the magazine interviews. And well, I don't see many magazine interviews this time around.

if Ben & Lana wanted a surprise release he wouldn’t have so much need to throw his rage at us and say that it’s not coming in March. but it’s not gonna come guys. Lets give it up

Who is this guy? Someone that didn’t get the « good news » that March 29 is false?

Maybe I should put on some leggings and start living my life too.
