i really dont care what y'all say, serve me punk Charli again! gimme Mow That Lawn 2.0
-
So I had a thought, what if they didn't update the deluxe artwork cos a platinum/special edition is coming that would ultimately replace the deluxe? I'm not saying we're getting 3 new songs but even a deluxe edition with Mood Ring and the new artwork could come
-
Again, we know they worked on something, I'd love a Grimes collab. Did Grimes ever do that Forever remix?
-
a collab with Chris? she mentioned wanting to work with her again and I'm sure she did a track with somebody earlier this year that was meant for the Janet album? this is not true, i am bored
-
I mean Charli had 15 tracks so you never know she might chuck them all out
-
They never worked together officially, I think Charli mentioned writing for her at a writing camp in 2014/15. And yeah she put Britney in the credits but just as an inspiration, she didn't actually contribute anything towards the album.
-
that sounds like fan fiction tbh, Charli was a nobody at that time, especially in the US (Britney's biggest market) her fame had burned out after the Sucker era. Tinashe was probably only added as a fellow RCA artist who they wanted to hype at the time...
-
what was the original photo that the Pretty Girls single cover was edited from?
-
it's definitely not her best but following on from Britney Jean. It was certainly a step in the right direction, Britney was singing the song and the whole song... She was also collaborating with somebody she was fond of and had wanted to work with. Her personality shone through a bit more on this single too and it was just fun. She seemed to enjoy the song, video and performances.

Sat here, with the new album cover, I really am reflecting on what a great era Glory was for Britney. Starting off with Pretty Girls, she was singing her own songs again, the video was fun and very her. She was collaborating with Iggy, somebody she'd spoken about wanting to collab with for a few years. She revamped the vegas show bringing back her own and fan favourites like Breathe On Me and Touch Of My Hand. She was really killing it on stage and seemed to be having fun. The Billboard performance of Pretty Girls is one of her best. Then in 2016 she came back with the Billboard medley, probably her best solo award show performance since I'm A Slave 4 U at the VMAs! We got Make Me... as the lead, a new sound for her and it was on trend and the single cover was one of if not her best single artworks. We found out LaChapelle was on board, he'd came out of retirement for this project. She was doing lots of interviews and teasers, the promo was good considering her commitment to Vegas. Sadly, the original video was canned but at least they gave us a new visual, definitely not her best but we know now what was originally planned and it would've been an iconic video for her. We then got multiple televised performances of the lead single, here in the UK she performed on Jonathan Ross, did interviews with Lorraine and Loose Women. Britney was back! Then came Glory! She was working with new (for her) and upcoming producers and writers, DJ Mustard, Burns, Julia and Justin. We got Private Show as a promo single, which came with a stunning visual to coincide with the new fragrance. The song was fun, clearly one of her favourites and fresh for Britney (coming off the back of the EDM inspired 8th album). Next was Clumsy, a song that she'd talked about a lot and was praised for the Oops! moment, not my favourite but you can tell she's having fun and her personality is all over this track. Finally, we got Do You Wanna Come Over? Arguably the most In The Zone track we've had since 2003! She added it to the Vegas show and we got an exclusive live performance of the track. The album was released and wow! She delivered! 18 brand new songs, her most on a body of work since Circus. All of them are her singing and none of them are interludes. Honestly, her most fun, original yet cohesive record since Blackout. She returned to the VMAs for the first time since that performance, 9 years prior. Not her most memorable but definitely a big moment in her career. I admit they fucked up with the second single, waiting so long to put it out but we got Slumber Party, her team listened. This time remixed with Tinashe and her best music video since god knows when. Sadly it didn't get the promo it deserved but it was still a great release and really made up for the Make Me... video incident. And now with that album cover! It really proves Glory lives up to it's title...
-
Huh? I'm referring to the original Make Me... video that leaked.
-
This is how I'm currently listening... I'd replace Slumber Party with the original solo version. And add Mood Ring somewhere. 01. Invitation 02. Make Me... 03. Private Show 04. Clumsy 05. Do You Wanna Come Over? 06. Man On The Moon 07. If I'm Dancing 08. Slumber Party 09. Just Luv Me 10. Change Your Mind (No Seas Cortes) 11. Coupure Electrique 12. Love Me Down 13. Just Like Me 14. Liar 15. What You Need
-
Honestly, I recently revisited Glory and it is a great album, definitely one of Britney's best! I'd say the weakest thing about this era was the visual direction, the Make Me... video scandal and then that album cover! However this new album cover and the leaked music video really shows that Britney was on top form. I'm just imagining the era launching with Make Me..., getting the LaChapelle video. Then the pre-order with that album cover! Followed by the amazing Slumber Party video. Fingers crossed they update all versions of the album with this artwork (add Mood Ring too) and any potential reprints. And we can forget about that Randee screenshot.

how does that work? cos there's other songs with more streams? cos her top 10 in order of most streamed to least is this... 01. Boom Clap 02. 1999 03. Dirty Sexy Money 04. Boys 05. Dream Glow 06. Blame It On Your Love 07. Gone 08. Vroom Vroom 09. Forever 10. Claws I mean post-After The Afterparty when the album was being constantly delayed, she had to fight her label to release Number 1 Angel which kinda just got dropped and abandoned. Then we had Boys all year with the album coming soon. Pop 2 was a nice surprise but then 2018 started again with the monthly drops, we only got 4 drops that whole year and god knows where we'd be if 1999 hadn't of been a hit. All I'm saying is at least she's able to release music at ease, seemingly, rather than drip feeding fans in hopes of releasing a body of work that she can promote.
-
I mean at least she's releasing, 2016 - 2018 was a dark dark time...
-
and a vinyl with the actual album cover (even though it was shit haha) plus Make Me... official video is an absolute mess, however, that wasn't the original vision or concept. Sadly the same can't be said for the eyesore that is Stupid Love
-
At least Glory has pre-release singles and live performances...
-
Let's be honest none of these singles really matter anyways, not like they're gonna be sent to radio or she's gonna do promo etc. I just see them more as instant-grats or buzz singles, y'know? Kinda like the 3 singles we got before the mixtapes... Yeah... I really hope she gets Huck to take a decent photograph on his camera and not iPhone! And then gets somebody good to rework into an album cover, like Hannah Diamond or Timothy Luke. If not I'd rather her do a Vroom Vroom type of thing and not feature on the album cover
-
honestly the Spotify cover, but change the image of Charli to the one Huck took on his camera of her in black and white sat on the ground, would make an epic album cover!
-
for me right now it's... 01. forever 02. i finally understand 03. claws i do really like them all but claws just felt like Charli on autopilot and could've been on the last album or the mixtapes, the other 2 feel a little different and more fresh. still very excited for party4u and pink diamond though!
-
YES! thank you so much that was driving me crazy
-
honestly, this might be favourite from the album so far... the beat sounds soooo similar though?!

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
bored replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Do we know how this happens? Does Lana submit the tracklist that way and her team just copy it as she typed it or did she request it to be like that? I remember the whole Ganja Burn / Ganja Burns typo on Nicki Minaj's Queen album... She said it was a typo when she sent the tracklist to her team. -
