I will give that Fingertips is some her best lyrics on the album!!!! but what does the song itself, a cinematic ballad, "do for the album" after literally all the songs before it (minus A&W) are all cinematic ballads lol, especially since it's JUST after Kintsugi which was already a slow piano ballad about family/loss/etc. It just feels unnecessary

This is pretty much where I'm at as well, I've been trying to sit with this album for a minute now but it just does not have any holding power like her other albums do, for me. If she got rid of Peppers/Sweet/Fingertips/the interludes from the tracklist it would probably be much more enjoyable to me. Those are almost always skips.

Charli's obviously going to bring Ryn Weaver out of hiding to collab properly on the new project
