  1. People in the UK - do you think the HMV one will sell out fast? I am thinking I might ask my friend in the UK to ship it to their address and then they can post it to me, would it be too risky to wait a few days and see if the red vinyl becomes available in NZ?
  2. bye what is Jacinda's plan for Target music
  3. i am NEARLY CRYING I literally just want the red vinyl that's all do you know if there's any way we can get that to aus/nz?? I live in NZ. JB Hi-Fi has an exclusive CD w the new red vinyl cover, praying we can get a vinyl... Do you know any way we'll be able to get the red one?
  4. thunder confirmed on the album that's it. dry ass day
  5. This is my favourite cover of hers ever. She's so beautiful, Tex & Mex are so beautiful, I love seeing her smile. Getting this one on vinyl for sure
  6. Guys if you want to be surprised by the album, don't listen to snippets I promise you it's not that hard. Remember the NFR era and how we'd heard pretty much everything - I haven't listened to upcoming album leaks from any artist since, and it's such a good decision imo it makes those first weeks of listening that bit more magical. Also I don't know to what extent this applies to Lana but many Kanye fans suffer from demo-itis; he is a notorious reworker so if you listen to the leaks and snippets and get attached to them, the album version might end up feeling very disappointing when you might have loved it sans leaks.
  7. I don't mind deluxe tracks not on streaming services because it makes the physical copies special, but I cannot stand the Target Walmart Applebees exclusive edition shit like not everyone lives in the US!!!
  8. tbh I don't really associate many things w colours so there's probably a bit of merit to synaesthesia

Might be reading too much into it but my theory is the electronic presence on Fallen Fruit is symbolic of industrialisation's stain on the planet. It would be in line with the lyrics; the beeping being an intentionally strange and unsettling (all Jack criticism considered, I still don't think him and Ella could sit in the studio and think 'wow this is such a lovely sound!') technological noise that unsettles listeners in the same way the 'ones who came before us' unsettled the Earth. Also I can't remember where but she made a point of the fact that the synth right before 'From the Nissan to the Phantom to the plane' was one of two synths on the record, which makes sense as well because she goes on to mention these machines which have contributed to polluting the planet. And I don't think it's a mistake that the strange synths appear on the most acoustic-y folksy song on the album! But yeah even if that is what the sounds represent, they still don't necessarily sound good lol, kind of like those comedy films that are intentionally/ironically bad but that doesn't make them enjoyable and they are... still bad. I personally don't mind/like the sounds but I can understand why you wouldn't
  10. jesus i'm getting vietnam flashbacks i forgot qftc was an actual thing that happened and not just a joke
  11. Twitter user after fooling maybe four people into believing their fake Lana Del Rey tracklist, colorised (2021)
  12. Well if the piano songs are anything like the three singles I'm down. Imo stripped instrumentals work to highlight beautiful lyrics and vocals, which they do on all three singles, so I'm excited!

Same. And the album booklet made it even more beautiful for me. "Last song I wrote for the album. My brother had been in a car accident when I was in NYC, and his head injury was making him angry. Needed to tell him I loved him, and it'd all be okay." Little brother I think you're an angel See your silver chain levitate When you're kick-flipping Baby boy, you're super cool I know you're scared So was I But all will be revealed in time ? I still remember the accident. I live somewhat near Lorde's childhood home and played football w Angelo at high school; he was skating and got hit by a car. I was out nearby delivering my sister's papers at the time and my father and (other) sister saw him, they described it as 'the most heartbreaking thing ever' watching Sonja come running down the road crying, I'm glad he's okay now.

When is it going to click that she release a box with no CD *because* she doesn't gaf about sales? Her main focus w this album seems to be creating an experience of an album for her listeners, which I think she's done, I'm loving every second of it. She explicitly said there are no hits on the album; she is already big enough and has made passion rather than chart success her main focus with her music. Why is it so hard to grasp that charts don't define an album's success, and its meaning to the artist?

See it's interesting to me that everyone seems to have quite different fav/least fav tracks. I'm in love with Stoned, Fallen Fruit, and Mood Ring; the two I'm struggling to get into right now are Dominoes and Big Star!! I have seen a lot of mixed reviews for this album but each song seems to have an equal share of lovers and haters, which signals to me that there aren't any songs it's just quite a polarising album with no inherently 'bad' songs', it'll be quite the grower I think. Already since my first listen I've come around to California, Secrets, and Oceanic Feeling.

I am loving this album era!! All her interviews have been awesome to watch, she seems very happy and genuine. I liked Solar Power but have been really loving Stoned at the Nail Salon and the bulletins are just such an awesome way of keeping up w the fans. Everyone I know irl who is somewhat into pop music is very excited for the album so even if it's not gonna be a huge debut I think the album will be enjoyed for months after the release
  22. Well I am still loving the singles. Blue Banisters is such an incredible work of poetry; so many artists that use symbolism or metaphor as very central to their songs use symbols with pre-existing connotations but I feel like the way Lana gave meaning to her banisters was very unique and tasteful. Also Wildflower Wildfire has grown on me a lot, Mike I love these chords
