I think it's because she's said that she IS Lana Del and people had a problem with that (still don't understand why). If she was portraying a character and explicitly said she was a character (in a video, for example) I don't think anyone would criticize it.

I'm interested to see the tracklist (for obvious reasons) but particularly to see what the "collabs" mean. It's being thrown around so much that I'm sure it means more than just features. I expect ~unexpected songwriting credits, as well. What was the time frame like for other album releases - in terms of lead single ---> to announcement ---> to cover and tracklist ---> promo single, etc.? I'm eager to have an idea of when we'll hear more.

I wonder if the monologue will be included on the album. From the Pitchfork article, it sounds like it was intended for the album trailer. I'll probably add it to the album myself - it would make a cool intro.

A few thoughts: 1. I feel like a proud parent. She's matured and grown and we've been lucky enough to witness this. It's clear that she's found her footing in life, and it's beautiful. 2. WHAT KIND OF WOKE QUEEN 3. SO glad we have a clear aesthetic this time around. The vision is clearly there and I don't think we've seen such cohesiveness since Paradise, tbh.

I think it has a lot to do with the initial release plan. If Love was supposed to come out until this Friday, I think we can expect something (information? Promo single?) in the coming weeks. The silence has probably been because of the leak.

What we see/hear is only part of each story. Not to mention, there could be a culmination of reasons as to why someone (like Lana, in this case) wouldn't remain in contact with particular people. I don't think it's fair to label her a "bitch" when we have limited information (or for any reason, tbh.)

It was said they were promo pics. Hopefully that's all they are. I dig simplicity, but they're a little too candid for my taste. After seeing the Love video, I can't imagine the album cover NOT being "polished".
