Everyone seems to love her videos... but I wish we had more examples of her creating stories to go along with her music, i.e. the Lonely Queen for Born to Die. Her looking beautiful over and over again is just so hollow to me. And LFL is another example of that. She's a creative writer, she obviously has it in her.

I loved their original song writing in Pumped up kicks. A song so good that radios everywhere played it despite the sensitive/topical subject matter! Someone recommend me some other goodies from them?

everyone's going balls crazy over the cherry snippet but her randomly singing 'my cherries and wine' to me sounds like a too try hard attempt to mimic her idols lyrically, much like 'my sparrow blue' was too much like Cohen's 'fallen robin'. Hoping it will make sense and be some sort of clever metaphor/relevant imagery but I just know it'll be as random as 'even your... honeydew'. Much rather she stuck to her own unique brand of kitschy lyricism...

Despite the impression we'd get from her discography she's a pretty happy person, I think this album will show more of Lana's contented happy side, as previously shown through songs like (aka version) Yayo, American, Lucky Ones etc. At least that's the feel I've had so far from Love and LFL, but 'tomorrow never came' sounds pretty dreary... I think she's pretty crap at sticking to her own themes, though. But for me, contented with life is the original thought.

I really like this. Much more than Love. Such a fresh sound for her. Do we know anything about it? the concept is lame though, same old stories. I thought Lana was writing about different topics this time around.
