About two days after SNL in January, and heard how "horrible" it was. So I looked the performances up on YouTube (also knowing that Daniel Radcliff had hosted and I'm obsessed with Harry Potter). I watched the video and was just like "That wasn't even bad." Lana's music was the first kind of this style I had ever listened to (I was basically all Florence at this point), and I found her terribly alluring and interesting. So from that day forward I became obsessed with Lana, and it was just in time since I learned that the album was coming out in like 2 weeks. Long story short, her SNL performance seduced me into liking her.

Also, there is apparently a censored (or "edited" according to Walmart) version of Paradise. This was the only copy of ANY Lana that Walmart had when I went there. Ride, Cola, and G & M all have the "bad words" chopped out with awkward lyrical silences. The cover was just the normal one without the advisory sticker.

It's cooly ironic that the "Paradise" edition is so much darker than Born to Die. And I love that they changed the blood to gold. It's like the blood of the Greek Gods, ichor.

I just assume that if she were pushing it as a single, she would switch it, because I don't think that it would be "acceptable" for radio play. It's considered explicit on iTunes. : /

I would say it might be: American Cola (a censored version with a certain would switched) and Body Electric (since she's sang it so much) You can't even unvulgarfy Gods and Monsters lol

I'm sure this is just sort of promo-ish stuff, and not a "legit" music video. She might have only done this, because she knew everything already leaked.

I feel like all artsy people like musicians and stuff would vote for Obama TBH

Okay, I don't want this to turn into a political debate, but I'm wondering if Lana voted. If she did, who do you think she voted for? I think she would have voted for Obama, but it's curious because she sings so much about 60s Americana, and Romney's moral views seem to be stuck in the old past.

This is more a question about the people behind the record production I suppose, but why do you think Ride gets and explicit label on iTunes whereas Radio doesn't (even though it drops the f bomb way more)? Is it just because ride is a single?
