No, it is unfortunately not the jazz movie snippet that we are all craving, but a companion album for The Great Gatsby entitled, "The Great Gatsby - The Jazz Recordings (A Selection of Yellow Cocktail Music from Baz Luhrmann's Film the Great Gatsby)" has been released on iTunes, and it's opening track is "Young and Beautiful (Salon). I am not even aware if this was played in the movie or not, because it does not sound like the jazz version from the Gatsby party sequence. The jazz portion play a little while after you hear the regular version of the song. It is during a party scene at Gatsby's. The song actually is edited a little differently each time you hear it. Sometimes your hear the melody just softly played on a piano in the background, and during on point in a large cavernous room in Gatsby's the song sounds like it is being performed in a cathedral or something. It is played A LOT. More than any of the other songs.

All I want to know is where can we hear the jazz band version of the song that they played in the movie?!
