Where is she getting all these granny nightgown dresses.
-
I will be there!

Sorry, I did not. I got mine from the fan presale that was put on Lana's FB page. From Wonderland or whatever. I believe mine are just picked up at will call the day of.

I am 6'4'' so I don't have to fear being trampled, however make sure you eat and drink a good deal beforehand. When I saw Lorde in March, I hadn't drank or eaten in over 6 hours, and I passed out. Let me just say- you do not want to pass out while in the pit.

I'm going to Philly too. I have no clue about entrances because I have never been there, but because it is so open and is outside, I do not think it would be difficult to find the entrances because of the sheer fact that there isn't that much of a building itself.

I don't think their voices would sound good together. However, I ship the shit out of them.

Billboard just tweeted a new interview with Charli. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/6077506/charli-xcx-fancy-iggy-azalea-icona-pop-true-romance?utm_source=twitter They said that True Romance has only sold 12,000 copies so far. This makes me extremely upset tbh. I expected much more sold than that, and it especially hurts since I love the album so much, and think so highly of it.

New 'Ultraviolence' Song Title: "Money, Power, and Glory"
Tyler replied to Sitar's topic in Latest News
I almost feel like this sounds a bit like the end of Marina's "Fear and Loathing" when it's just her grandmother singing in Greek lol. Either way, sounds beautiful, and I agree that it sounds like she is saying some lines at the beginning. I doubt it's MP&G, because it just sound like something like that, but I could be wrong. Maybe another part of Cruel World since she loves that song so much? -
I love the song 'Like a Stranger' but haven't listened listened to much more of them. The drug thing is a bit concerning...

BTD era beats coming back I missed them so much. -
You should be able to watch if you're on a computer. It's blocked on mobile devices.

I wonder why Lana decided to use this snake as like a new logo for merch... I'm also kind of surprised that they sell stuff with her from the blonde days.

Ultraviolence - Pre-Release Thread
Tyler replied to lflflflflflflflflflf's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
These potential domestic violence lyrics are not a new thing for Lana. Remember this gem? Hit me, my darling, tonight, I don't know why, but I like it. Hurt me and tell me your mine, I don't know why, but I like it. -
If she gets to Number One in America

My fav Lana song isn't what I would say is her best if technically speaking, but in terms of what I enjoy to listen to the most, it is Summertime Sadness. If I were rating her songs on a more... critical basis (not just what I enjoy the most, but what seems the most advanced in writing, singing, and production), then West Coast would probably be in the top 10, possibly top 5.

Alright, so I've had a couple of hours and more than enough plays to critique the song now lol Overall, I do enjoy it, but I think it is a bit of a grower, because not one element stands out at me. Perhaps my biggest qualm is that I wish they tampered with the vocal layers a bit less, because I think some of the song is ridiculously hard to decipher. I do like this more rock route she is going, and it really fits the 'surf metal/ noir' sound perfectly in my mind. I see UV as soundly like a darker and more hardcore version of AKA. The sythns at the end were a nice touch, and as well as the guitars and drums which were amazing. Lana had some nice lyrics, but I still wish there was more of a bridge. A climax before the synths came in would have been the cherry on top. On it's reception: I am really amazed about how much critical and just general acclaim it has been getting. I bet that they weren't going to release it on iTunes until May 18th, but were staggered by its reception as well. TBH, I think she owes all this hype and praise to the fans. Without this fanbase, I doubt this would have blown up as much as it has today. Your welcome, Lana. But yeah, overall I like it. I wouldn't say it's my fav Lana song, but probably in my top 15 at least. Can't wait to see the video, hear more songs, and see how her career progresses in the GP's eye.
