is the leaked instrumental of FIILY different from the album and vinyl/CD versions? -
she needs to drop scooter asap before he fucks her over like taylor scooter bran needs to be dropped into a volcano
-
yes, but she needs to take an extended break. at minimum, two years. I thought she was cutting it close w DSN coming out the same year DL1 era ended. If she wants success, she needs to take a break to not be over-exposed

2021 Year In Review: Your Spotify/Apple Music
godsmonster replied to American Whore's topic in Music
I wish Apple Music tracked all music because I listen to a lot of music that's not available for streaming (unreleased material, instrumentals, fan mixes, my own mixes, etc), so my numbers aren't quite correct since it doesn't count music that's not in their catalog Listened to 1,007 hours of music! my top 10 songs: Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land - MARINA (94 plays) Alice - Lady Gaga (94 plays) Prisoner - Mariah Carey (87 plays) Turn Off The Light (feat. Elvira, Mistress of the Darkness) - Kim Petras (81 plays) Stupid Love - Lady Gaga (80 plays) BOYSHIT - Madison Beer Sine From Above - Lady Gaga & Elton John Babylon - Lady Gaga Untouched - The Veronicas 1000 Doves - Lady Gaga Top 5 Artists: Lady Gaga - 121 hours Kim Petras - 70 hours Ariana Grande - 40 hours Lana Del Rey - 28 hours Kylie Minogue - 25 hours Waterparks - 22 hours Dua Lipa - 21 hours Nicki Minaj - 21 hours Taylor Swift - 20 hours Doja Cat - 20 hours Top 10 Albums (this must be based off of how many times you played songs from the album, not actual consecutive listens because I certainly have not listened to these albums this many times lol): TURN OFF THE LIGHT - Kim Petras (419 plays) Planet Her (Deluxe) - Doja Cat (185 plays) Chromatica - Lady Gaga (183 plays) Red (Taylor's Version) 92 plays Greatest Hits - Waterparks (92 plays) Pink Friday... Roman Reloaded - Nicki Minaj (81 plays) Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land - MARINA (68 plays) Sweetener - Ariana Grande (65 plays) Dawn of Chromatica - Lady Gaga (64 plays) Clarity - Kim Petras (54 plays) my music taste really screams "f@ggot" -
Hypocrates is considered to be the weakest??? damn, i always thought it was a standout track tbh Power & Control is the weakest track (i still love her sm tho) theres not a lot going on lyrically, like the verses are legit 2 lines the song is most just the chorus. if there was more verses it would be a lot stronger

Aphrodite is a great album! idk why i slept on Looking For An Angel also it’s time for her to do something revolutionary because Disco was not it

listening to this album is so painful sometimes. I miss 2019 so much for so many reasons that don't even have to do with the pandemic (and obv because life before the pandemic) I remember vividly listening to the album for the first time. I live on the east coast, but i was visiting Texas when the album dropped. Because I pre-ordered in one time zone ahead, I was listening to it before it officially dropped in Texas, which was kind of cool. I don't listen to this album much, because it does bring me back to that summer and that year. Sometimes it's nice to go back and visit, and other times it makes me so sad. Unfortunately, this album does remind me of my ex that i was dating at the time so that's another thing -
let's gooooooooooo

tbh i hope she takes her time and makes a quality album. We're way overdue for another Honeymoon level album. Sorry Jack, but you cannot help her get there so you kight as well go back to FUN. and make a reunion

What was your reaction of the BTD to UV transition?
godsmonster replied to Honeyyoung's topic in Lana Thoughts
i didn't like it at first. I was so hooked to the BTD era sound, it legit was like drugs to my ears. I was a senior in high school (and grounded until when i moved out at 18) but everytime I went to my friends house i'd use her laptop and try to find any info on WC (i became a fan March 2014) When WC came out I loved it from what I recall but when UV came out I really didn't vibe with it, but it quickly grew on me. Summer 2014 was defined by personal freedom and Lana Del Rey. West Coast remains one of my favorite songs by her It was't until about four years after WC release that I realized the album version and single version were different. Also the radio version is so amazing ugh I'll always want that BTD vibe to come back. I think she could really make it so much better now, with so much under her belt -
that title is most likely centered but the italics make it seem like it’s not

its truly not a bad album. yall just cant get over Coachella lmfao but in all seriousness, it's a great album. not her best, but its still really good. but i also think people are starting to realize it since thats the last album we had from her that wasn't so acoustic driven and lowkey. it feels like the last true Lana Del Rey album. Everything after is like Lana Del Rey 2.0 (not that that's a bad thing, it's just different)
-
enough with the boring piano driven acoustic production jesus christ i am so sick of it. her production needs depth again. not necessarily BTD level production, but it needs to be exciting and more lively again

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
godsmonster replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
i have an interesting question would the painting used for the book cover of "Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass" be considered to be an Impressionist painting style? -
what throws me off is how the line before, she's talking about how shes been falling apart, so i always interpreted "i watched it begin again" as in it's starting again or at the very least, start again with State of Grace that leads into a breakup idk
-
can someone explain to me how Begin Again is an "optimistic" song because "I've been spending the last eight months Thinking all love ever does Is break and burn and end But on a Wednesday in a cafe I watched it begin again" does not sound happy or optimistic
