oh gee I didn't like it I feel like the description from good ole Monicker fit it too well, I knew she was gonna go with this but I thought she'd approach it in an interesting way. To me the storyline felt really forced and kinda idk simplistic ~ but there are some nice visuals, I wish there were more continuous frames (?) rather than cut bits, I was trying to appreciate Lana gliding around that pole and couldn't focus lol (referring to this gem)

I know what you mean, it's a thin line between shallow/obsession with pretty visuals. I think she's just an odd person, she can seem very normal but with the kind of songs that came out of her mind I always believe otherwise

To be honest, I wouldn't use 'shallow', her obsession with imagery and what she perceives as beauty is much weirder than something as simple as being shallow. I think every artist is quite fixed on an aspect of life and the world - and to really talk and feel something deeply you have to let it posses you. Be the one thing that's always on your mind. I find Lana's obsession with beautiful words, beautiful imagery, beautiful people etc. really fascinating, I really think there's depth to it in an insane way.

I really don't get you here, except maybe for the part where Barrie lives on Lana's money but there's no way to really claim that and be sure of it. But otherwise, Barrie is a really hot guy actually, when I was in close proximity to him in real life I think my hormones went a little cray and I'm rarely attracted to guys - I understand hating his look, but he's quite attractive nonetheless. If he has a personality to match I find it unsurprising Lana likes him. And about looking dirty/smelling - saw none of that either and except a few times when his outfit was really unfortunate looking in candid pics with her - I don't see much proof for that either. I get it, I wish I was in his place too but it's not the poor dude's fault that we want to fuck/date Lana or w/e. emulate Kurt Cobain you might get her attention

Cola and Gods & Monsters, definitely. Actually I love all Paradise now but I wasn't too excited at first. Oh and Television Heaven is among my dearest favourites right now but when it first leaked I didn't 'get' it for a few weeks and preferred Hawaiian Tropic/Daytona Meth over it (such good leaks all at once though, not surprised my brain was confused). I think some songs like Every Man Gets His Wish grew on me after reading something a lanaboardian said about them that made them x100 times better. And Raised Me Up just climbed my Top 10 or something over night, for no reason. Same with Elvis. Listened to them for a year, noticed I love them suddenly.

She sounds so bad in writing to me, in radio interviews or w/e she could say some of this shit and it would be funny or cute or something. I love the woman but can't quite feel it in her latest interviews, I can't even put my finger on it. Off-putting describes it quite well.
