  4. Yes, she said it wouldn't parallel with his usual "soul and funk," but that it would be more in the vein of classic jazz "with a bit of soft grunge." But that does sound like a lot of relatively less popular jazz fusion albums that he has produced. We'll just have to see...like I've said, her albums are always very different from the initial descriptions that she gives us.
  5. I know, that's one of my favorite albums. Tears Dry on Their Own <3 I love a lot of albums in that vein actually. Rockferry, Dusty in Memphis, Tapestry, 19, Cher's 60s stuff, Ronnettes. I think it would work very well for Lana and Ronson to go for undertones of the soul sound.
  6. Actually, Ronson produces a lot of jazzy rock and soul music. So, don't be surprised when Lana's description of "jazz meets soft grunge" materializes into something closer to UV with hints of BTD here and there.
  7. Yes, you're right. If it appealed to the masses, it must be better quality. Just look at Justin Bieber, One Direction, and Iggy Azalea. The Beatles could nevah.
  8. It uses much less reverb than most indie rock albums and to great effect. This is not the place for another debate, though.

  10. Imagine the Honeymoon era combining the high quality of UV's music with the beautiful visuals from BTD. It could really be something special.

  13. I love that you mentioned the GQ Awards. She looked incredible there.
  14. We're just excited and throwing around ideas of what the next era could be like...not actually demanding. I even said that it was just my personal preference. Discussing Lana-related topics like this is kind of the point of a Lana message board.
  15. We find out Thursday morning Imagine her performing at the Oscars, though. SNL: Part 2 or a chance to redeem herself and show that public how incredible her live vocals can be.
  16. I want the glamour back as well, but I always thought her hair looked better curled like in tfe BTD video or Letterman appearance. Just personal preference, though. She always looks stunning.
  17. Yeah, it's not my main concern either, but it's clearly important to Lana and how she artistically packages each album. I would love a comeback of old Hollywpod glamour, but like the Galore shoot and with a new hairstyle. She's done the beehive to death. Bring back the curls. --- Anyway, back to music. Listening to my favorite Moody Blues album, Days of Future Passed. I'd love an upbeat, concept album incorporating orchestration and rock like that.
  18. Veronica Lake had the most famous hair in old Hollywood. Lana gets compared to her all of the time! I'm not even close to a stereotypical geh and I love Veronica Lake. There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism of an outfit. I mean, look at all of the publications judging the best and worst of the night...we do it all of the time here. It's the fat-shaming in here that is ridiculous.
  19. I love what she was going for in style, but I don't think it worked so well. The dress needed to be a different color and her hair would have looked much better in a Veronica Lake style. Ah well, she still looked pretty and happy. I hope she gets nominated for the Oscars and really brings it, though.
  20. I'd love something similar to this in style (obviously not the actual songs): 1. Shades of Cool (jazzy rock intro) 2. Million Dollar Man 3. Hawaiian Tropic 4. Back to Black-esque song 5. Kill Kill 6. Traditional jazz track 7. Yayo 8. Come When You Call Me America 9. Jazz fusion track 10. Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
