There are other NC people here?!

It's apparently the same setlist.

Why are you praying to this "God?" What kind of blasphemy? Dear John, forgive him his sins.

Illnesses aren't always physical. It's not the radio station's place to judge what is wrong with her health.

Lana I do hope she's okay, though.

I guess it's a let down if you're favoring commercial success and big-budget production, but Lana has done exactly what she wanted to do with this era: earn artistic merit. -

I love how the focus is on the music for this album, but it would be nice to have a few televised interviews/performances. I hope we will be getting more music videos as well, considering how important visuals are to her as an artist. The BTD videos were pretty spread out, so I'm sure we will. It helps with longevity. -
UV isn't a pop record...and ME is the only one I've listened to in ages (as a guilty pleasure). 99% of what I listen to is indie rock or music from the 60s/70s, so come off it. Tbh, everyone here is tired of your daily, pre-pubescent temper tantrums. We get that you didn't like UV, but guess what; opinions are funny things. Many of us do.

She definitely meant Joni. She was a huge part of the 60s Laurel Canyon scene.

I love that the video has been met with critical acclaim by those with knowledgeable opinions of music video production. It's an intentionally simple, hauntingly beautiful video, even if it's not the kind of overdone, polished pop video that most of you appear to be used to, and it carries a lot of meaning. You guys are starting to sound like Little Monsters with your histrionics.

UV doesn't have any filler tracks, and that's what makes it a great album.

Yeah, they've been wrong more than right recently.

I interpreted as a woman who never got the chance to marry the man she loved because he had passed away (funeral flowers). I believe the video was a dream sequence (hence the filter) and you can hear the man at the end saying he is always with her.

You guys are so dramatic.

From someone who grew up in the film industry, I think it's a hauntingly beautiful work. It's very reminiscent of the videos for 90s indie rock videos or found footage, psychological thriller films. Music videos, unlike feature films, do not require anything beyond an episodic plot and there's a lot going on underneath the surface here and a lot of metaphoric imagery. I love the final sequence of Lana walking down the aisle alone.

Hope Sandoval/Mazzy Star Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood Joni Mitchell Portishead Sharon Van Etten Chris Isaak Cat Power Leonard Cohen Nico Beach House Jeff Buckley Joan Baez 60s-70s Cher Lizzy Grant era is reminiscent of bits and pieces of Bob Dylan's discography El Perro Del Mar The Radio Dept. Wild Nothing (dreampop sound) Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon is very UV-esque. There's also a bit of Fleetwood Mac, Eagles (circa Hotel California), and Beach Boys in it.

:rip: I love you.
