Love the Wicked Game vibe/sample. I always thought that song would be perfect for her to cover. Also, never forget:

I think the Queen of Saigon reference is used in the same way as before, though. In NA, irony was used pretty heavily to criticize excess and wealth and in WC, she's using the symbol of the materialistic queen of nothing in the same way. But yes, I think the lyrics are definitely an evolution.

Something makes me think we'll get the cover/track list around the time of the music video release next week. Usually, she would have premiered the lead single mvid after, but clearly the timing is very methodical this time.

I would kind of prefer that she kept people waiting for a new song until the album release. It would cause an even buzzier release, I think. I just want that damn track list.

Reading the quote again and taking the translation into account, you can see where Lana specifies that she's using violence as a metaphor for an emotionally volatile relationship. Plus, she clarifies that this kind of aggression is something that"you think is love" because you're so blinded by your passion. Now I'm really excited for UV...as if I wasn't before.

I really hope the video wasn't filmed in black-and-white. The behind-the-scenes pics of the sunset were so beautiful. Is there any particular day on which mvids tend to be released more often? Wondering what day it will be coming next week.

I love the idea of using UV to say that a relationship is killing her emotionally, but I am concerned about the possibility of her glorifying domestic abuse. If she's telling a story, that's different, but I am a bit worried. If the interview is real and/or translated correctly, of course.

I didn't expect her to take "ultraviolence" so literally. I thought she was going to use the metaphor of violence in a more mature way like in her Kill Kill lyrics.

I would be satisfied for a while if we just could get a pre-order with a track list and cover.

The universal critical acclaim, unexpected commercial success, and the two incredible live performances are so much more than we could have asked for. So happy for her. Really hoping that this album earns Lana a high MetaCritic score and a few Grammy noms...maybe even a win for one of the rock categories.

I would be surprised if a remastered version of Black Beauty is excluded.
