I keep listening to Scars since the album came out. How good would a present-day performance of this be The vocal delivery and the production isn't even too different from Plastic Hearts. Lyrics still hold up too

A big cover story felt like the one that that was missing from this album campaign so Rolling stone... whew. I love it Doll Parts cover is so great too. Can she miss?

Never Be Me could turn out to be the best song on this album actually. A slow burning smash To think it was at one point a shawn mendes collab. wtf Also the very first few seconds of Golden G String really remind me of Diary by Weyes Blood

Album is full of bangers so glad it's finally here. I love all the imagery on her instagram for it too. She has seriously brought me so much joy with her music and covers this year. Angels Like You is obviously a power ballad stadium moment Plastic Hearts is hitting me so much harder than the leak. It's such an ear worm. Gimme What I Want is so sick and different to any song she has done. I'd love her to follow this sound further. Night Crawling fucking slaps. It seems she's far less prominent on the hook in the final mix though, I guess she wanted to let Billy shine. High is so beautiful I'm glad I didn't listen to the leak. This is the one that stuck with me most on first listen of the album. Bad Karma is full of so many great one-liners that get stuck in my head. I appreciate it's more experimental and sparse composition, they could have easily made it a palatable pop track with that great chorus. I love the personality on it even though it might not be the banger it could be. Golden G String is the only outlier to me. It sounds to me like it was inspired by like the Beatles/MGMT. Pretty similar to what LSD were doing.

Don't Start Now deserves ROTY and SOTY. Folklore is the best album nominated but Future Nostalgia is definitely the "Album of The Year" amongst all the nominees. Jhene and Coldplay are particularly laughable. Jessie Ware should have been recognised and of course The Weeknd. Justin is... nothing and isn't worth any conversation. Their typical outlier wildcard choices for AOTY should have included Mercury Prize Winner KIWANUKA at least because it is actually good, not just there to cause shock. I love a few songs from the HAIM album so I'm happy to see them there.

Song is a banger to me now. Really reminds me of Don't Start Now in the way the production becomes more sparse on the chorus which is why that song didn't click with me at first. And over a year later and it's probably the only song that has had as much over exposure as it has and still slaps on every single play.

The video is great I love the aesthetic and the graphics at the end especially! Song isn't an instant smash like Midnight Sky sounded the first time but it's good and I like it's not just 1 verse Dua

SHE IS COMING festival circuit was insane. The styling and stage presence and the songs >> her vocals were pretty shaky and uncontrollable but that was just before she had vocal surgery so she'd be so much better now. Seeing her at a festival is now one of my bucket list gigs

Just listened to LA Money. Why does it sound like Dua Lipa feat Miley? She's so much more prominent on the song. Clearly it's still a demo because of the vocal cut but I imagined it sounding a LOT better. They were right to discard it, ALMA does it better. Though I feel like the chorus really needs to be drowned in reverb for it to be really great.

I shudder thinking someone as dull and one-dimensional as shawn mendes on a track with charismatic legend Miley. Thank god that didn't happen

I've been imagining a Glastonbury performance of Angels Like You ever since the leak and now it will be reality at some point I'm sure That song live will be biblical. The final chorus is made for festivals Holy fuck this photo is so good !!!

It's here I wish I could lobotomise myself so I could hear the majority of this album for the first time. But alternatively I know it's already a classic. So glad I never listened to the Never Be Me or Golden G String leaks at least.
