  1. Old Money is the worst song on the album and one of her worst songs ever. I don't ever make it through the song without skipping. Boring! It is insane to me how the consensus seems to be that Guns and Roses is the weakest track on the album. It is SO good
  2. Fun Tonight is my favourite song from this album. The pre chorus especially reminds me of Hair which is top 5 lady gaga songs
  3. A song that's been on repeat lately. I feel like it has so many Lanaisms Slow down, you crazy child You'd better cool it off before you burn it out But you know that when the truth is told That you can get what you want or you can just get old You've got your passion, you've got your pride But don't you know that only fools are satisfied? Dream on, but don't imagine they'll all come true This would be so good with a kinda drunken depressed and disillusioned vocal performance à la The Good Life. Maybe she could change Vienna to Venice
  4. Ultraviolence to my subconscious when I say NFR! is her best album:
  5. Oh I just now found that blog posted in another thread, you can even see the blog post still http://web.archive.org/web/20090223121246/http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=58453428&blogID=456262945 I would say she probably wrote or at least interjected part of it. the ~ is classic her lol
  6. I had this interaction with bob leone saved for some reason and that's not me at the bottom ctfu I don't recall ever seeing the pic that is her profile photo?
  7. Going through my 22k photos to delete them and came across some Lana related screenshots. Uploading them here so I can delete them The upload dates are interesting and probably have been lost along the way. Funny how 3 months after using Lana Del Rey she reverted to using Lizzy Grant, then chose to release an album under Lana Del Ray 15 months later
  8. The way other artists' side projects are soulless cash-grab make up ranges, brand deals and TV show judge positions. Lana's is a poetry book and audiobook No sellouts allowed
  9. This is so cool... the fact she actually came through on this one. and over delivered with a vinyl and CD release. I kind of can't believe it
  10. Hell will freeze over before I download TikTok but this is simultaneously hilarious and random and extremely on brand Makes me think the next album visuals are going to be the most homemade yet, with even Charlie involved in video etc. Hmm. I'm happy for new content regardless, singing Bel Air is pretty cool!!
  11. Michael Mizrahi https://youtu.be/7JMx62a0E00?t=180 he is the dude groping her here backstage at the show lol
  12. the detail with which she recounts their meeting How exciting that must have been to pack up and move to another continent with a stranger just a few weeks after this performance.
  13. Found myself listening to the album again unintentionally since Plastic Doll has been the biggest ear worm. Top 5 to me are Alice Babylon Plastic Doll Fun Tonight Sine From Above I think the banality of "I'm not having fun tonight" is actually strangely powerful and emotional as a lyric. I will be interested to see the video for it if it's true there is one.

    Miley Cyrus

is there a solid source confirming the correct song titles for these? Are they registered anywhere? Hate Me / If I Die Wish We Never Met / Angels Like You Win Some / Win Some, Lose Some American Dream Is Boring / American Dream / Miley What's Good? All the ones I downloaded had the fist option as their titles. American Dream Is Boring is such a horribly phrased title
  15. I didn't want to go off track but since you insist on being so inflammatory and snarky to other users for no reason... @electra Not sure why you have this superiority complex over something so asinine. I can only assume it's because the song has now leaked and is in the public domain therefore you feel less exclusive so you want to now assert some kind of dominance over fans hearing it for the first time (see: your incessant references in both threads to having it "a while back" "a month ago" etc.) Unpleasant and odd behaviour. Also you realise the post you quoted by WilshireBoulevard was calling you wrong?
  16. I really don't want to continue posting about something so trivial but I really cannot understand the level of hardheaded-ness and rebuttal of this?
  17. You guys are free to continue your mental gymnastics but I'm here to tell you it is half-cut. You're drunk before the party has started. "pouring all your drinks". Half-cut is an extremely common slang term for drunk.
  18. Half cut At the rainbow's end
  19. The Buckingham Nicks live bootlegs are on Spotify for the time being. I'm so intrigued by the idea of what a second Buckingham Nicks album would have been. I might design some concept artwork for it Blue Letter Monday Morning I Don’t Want To Know Never Going Back Again Rhiannon Sorcerer Heartbreaker You Won’t Forget Me That’s Alright Garbo Nomad
  20. This actually made me laugh thinking about how a big chunk of users here are like that over lana with the lanalysis thread etc. and here is someone who is friends with Lana and sees her at her most ordinary/vulnerable... and she is obsessed with aaron carter hahahaha
  21. Cool thanks I hadn't thought about audiobooks I'll try and find a free one. I really want to read The New Jim Crow but I can only find it in pdf and I don't want to read an entire book from my phone screen. I think I'll just end up paying a super high price for the book
  22. Is anyone keeping up with what's happening in Seattle? https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/11/us/seattle-autonomous-zone.html I'm eager to read more after reading this article. I just finished reading a book about LSD and the 60's and it feels like there are so many parallels to Haight Ashbury and the Human Be-In happening today! Also does anybody have any reading suggestions? I'm seeing a lot of the same ones and the books are strangely so hard to come by online especially for the UK. There are so many sketchy book sellers with poor ratings. I recently read Chasing The Scream and I was so shocked at the stories of Harry Anslinger and the racist origins of the war on drugs and it made total sense. The stories about how police and corrections officers neglect and abuse prisoners etc and how they ALWAYS get off with no consequences... Just appalling. I also read The Great Deluge about Hurricane Katrina last year and it revealed in such detail about how it was a political disaster and the residents of Louisiana and surrounding states were treated as second-class citizens and relief efforts were so delayed and shoddy because they were predominately Black. I hadn't really known this as from outside the US it was just covered as some unavoidable natural disaster.
