I do agree with some of the sentiments being shared, but one of the reason marina changed post FROOT was because she was sick. don’t get me wrong there was definitely some kind of ego death with the release of FROOT and achieving what she wanted, but she did a podcast (chronic comeback) and the symptoms she described sounded horrible. 
 
I understand why she created songs like orange trees, EYL, true, etc to try and ‘manifest a bit of happiness’ or whatever. (though obviously even with a reason that doesn’t make the songs/album any better and I won’t pretend it does) 
 
I think it’s the missing puzzle piece as to why l+f was such a mess, (she postponed in hopes of getting better, then after its release she wasn’t feeling well), and why ADIAML was so rushed, (to get out of her contract so she could recover). we’d speculated those things before but we didn’t actually know she was sick at the time, we thought she’d just lost interest. 
 
now she is better and she didn’t lose interest after all we’ll see if the music is any better, I don’t think that it’s going to touch ‘the trilogy’ for me, as the pedestal they sit on is far too high but I think it’s going to be enjoyable because she’s clearly having fun. venus fly trap does have some clunky lyrics but it’s enjoyable to me as I can feel her energy, it’s cute, it’s camp, hoping the same thing for M6. 
 

no shade to miss girl but we all know she lost the sauce a while ago but we still love most of her catalog ofc…she unfortunately falls under the umbrella of artists that are past their peak and make ~quirky mid tempo music for middle aged earthy they/thems that still hold onto her glory days and listen to her on the way to get organic spirulina from whole foods

I think we should take what she says about the album being 'varied' with a pinch of salt considering she said the two parts of love + fear sounded very sonically different and they did not

I found a link in the comments of this YouTube video. It's insane I remember fantasising about outtakes from the shoot and that fans would make all these fake edits, to have the entire thing is mad.

Bc its from TFJ era, fun, naive, young Marina. TFJ era is jarring in a way + I think that style made me like her even more back then even tho I only discovered her music when EH came out. Let alone the fact Bad Kidz (final) took ages to surface and we only had a rare vinyl rip that almost got lost through the years. This leak for me was a small victory

i had an account on there and it was dead even in it's heyday. there's very few artists who are able to cultivate a fanbase dedicated enough to have an online forum (an already dying medium). Lana and Gaga are among the few exceptions imo

Sadly it also seems there are lost site themes from this time which don’t load on the way back machine because of the way that the site handles them
Marinaboards was basically abandoned in its later years with little organisation and care done for it leading to problems and mods not even logging into the site and the site went up for sale around the same time as lanaboards and was bought by the Gia who made diamondgarden (idk if they bought marinaboards and sold the domain again and bought a cheaper one but still made a Marina forum which existing marinaboards accounts could log into) which had an updated forum software with support for things like chat and blogs and a promised better future. In 2019 diamondgarden was shutdown (seemingly) with no notice and both Twitter accounts are still up. They look very similar to lb because the ran on the same forum software (invision community) which runs lots of forums. Thankfully lb was bought by queen elle and the site has been thriving ever since, the marinaboards story is full of speculation from me as I was not on the site much at the time and idk many people who used the site in its heyday.
 
 
Wish there was a Marina forum still up to this day but there’s an extremely unlikely chance of one ever being created as forum websites are dying as a whole in the age of places like discord  

dreaming about an actual froot anniversary edition... 12 standard tracks + INHA, WYTAC, saviour, true colours and FROOT demo = 17 tracks spread across a 2 disc gatefold vinyl. a poster. maybe she can release INHA as a single at the end of 2024 as the 10 year anniversary of her teasing the damn song lol.

froot (song) is genuinely one of my favourite songs of all time. probably top 3. the production, the vocals, the lyrics. i just NEED her to pull another FROOT moment so bad. everything about that record was perfection
