quantity does not equal quality. There are super long albums that are extremely well done, but just having more tracks for the sake of it is a self fullfilling prophecy for an incoherent, messy abum full of fillers. I'd rather have 11 tracks that I never grow tired of listening to, with lots of nuances to dicover than a 20 track record where I skip 10 songs after listening to them twice.

Twigs scrapped her stuff from 2016. The single from this year is her starting fresh, and she's performed about 4-5 songs from the upcoming album during a recent tour. Her absence from 2016-2019 was largely due to medical issues, as well as extensive training, which she communicated to her fans about.

Nah, you've got your info wrong. The stuff that FKA twigs did in 2016 was standalone, not part of an album. Also, her new album is supposedly titled Magdalene and she's performed a bunch of the new songs from it already; even more than we've heard from NFR, if I'm not mistaken.

Hmmm, I'm 50/50. Ultraviolence and Lust For Life are her longest records, both at 16 songs and one of those is a cohesive masterpiece and the other not so much... If the cover is on the album and she had 13 songs finalised in January then I wouldn't mind 14 or 15 songs.

I don't think it's because the lyrics aren't hers. I loved her version of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. The Other Woman? Haunting, mesmerizing. And her cover of Goodbye Kiss was a million times better than the original. It sounds a lot more meaningful and emotional from her, Kasabian's version just sucks lol. She definitely made that song hers. Doin' Time, on the other hand...her version's flat as fuck. Not bad, just...unnecessary. It didn't have to exist, and yet it's there.
