i've had a think about what it is we're actually waiting on and when you think of it as several songs we've already heard as well as extra minutes of songs we've already heard and no accompanying music videos, most likely no performances..... it really seems like.... nothing.

I can feel myself in general getting really depressed, and I know it's stupid to rely on Lana and her music to help, but I just need a little something to kinda put my bad thoughts at bay for a while.

This thread is 6 months of speculations and frustrations...

She has to understand that we don't understand why she isn't saying anything, so naturally people are going to speculate and get frustrated. I still think she could just tell us that she'll give us more information when she's ready ... but maybe she really is feeling resentful towards the fanbase and that's why she isn't. I don't know.
 
Maybe the Miss Daytona "the album is finished but who knows when it'll be out" tweet was less "I don't know because of external factors" and more "I don't know when I want to release it because I feel really insecure about my music rn".

They are two very different women, certainly, but I think Hunger is to Florence what Hope is to sis. Hunger recently turned one, and Florence posted about how nervous she was to release it because it was so personal, and that she was so grateful for the reception to it.
 
Hope was released before I joined this community, but going by the comments here, and by those I've seen on social media, I feel like the reception to it was mixed. Seeing as it's her most personal song (and took 3 years to complete) maybe that reception hurt her more than we realised. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but she posted that Instagram comment replying to the accusations about racial connotations in the song, and seemed to shut herself off from NFR, and to some extent, fans, right after that.
 
When I translated that article earlier and read that it took her 3 years to complete, straight away my mind went to that poem: "I love you but you don't understand me." It could be about absolutely anything or anyone, and was likely written before Hope was released, but I immediately thought of it. Maybe she felt really misunderstood and hurt, pouring her heart and soul into that song for three fucking years and everyone was all, "Oh my God that selfie is horrible", "Wow "Black narcissist"?!", and "Fuck me, an iPad reference!"
 
I'm not saying that it's wrong to be critical of those points (and others) ... not at all. I'm just saying ... maybe she really didn't get the reaction she wanted and it upset her more than we realised and/or made her doubt herself and the album - which she has said is very personal. And maybe that's why she's taking a break just to regather herself or whatever.
 
I know this post sounds really emotional 'n' shit but she has said herself that she is an emotional, sensitive person.

They soooo did ... I'm gonna go rant about it on the Random thread though because I promised Elle I'd behave on this one. 

And she hadn't toured since 2015. Music videos are expected from artists since 1982ish lol, I don't excuse her laziness. And obvi she's not going to announce a tour before the album you're just playing ignorant. We pay her bills, YES she owes us quality visuals.

ETA: ohhh maybe it's a clue and it means she's preggo with NFR ... count 9 months fwd from the MAC release and that's the release date? Plausible af. 

I haven't called this number yet, I don't believe, just found it today! A while back, around March 29th, I called a diff number for Interscope and a secretary answered, said she'd gotten a few calls that day about Lana. She said if the release was pushed back it was probably due to "minor changes". I posted about that conversation in the NFR pre-release thread...
 
I'm thinking if we all maybe one by one call Interscope & UMG (I'll have to find the Interscope number I called) and give our names (at least first name) so they know its different people calling, we can just let them know we're curious for and waiting for the album. We can even politely cite that Lana has stated in interviews and on social media that the album is finished, and that her camp hasn't been very clear about its release since its announcement. I have a feeling that if enough people call (maybe if we even get a few fans off LB to call as well!) then we can start a chain reaction. And I guarantee you that if enough people call and draw attention to NFR, Lana and/ or her team will at the very least realize the demand on a substantial level for the album and maybe JUST MAYBE be spurred to action.
