  1. I know right? Their Ebenezer seasonal beer looks delicious.
  2. Next time I see Lana in concert I'm bringing a lyrics sheet for TOSTB.
  3. I hope Lana spent the entire time discussing this thread with Beyoncé: http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/3873-is-beyoncé-just-a-big-rip-off-of-lana-del-rey/
  4. jared leto is kinda a tool but he has to be her +1 when she hangs with jay-z. i do not make the rulez
  5. Like with "Video Games", Lana seems to have a knack for expressing things insightfully, sometimes not even consciously perhaps. Though didn't she give a similar dude-on-a-date story claiming (unconvincingly in my view) that MAC wasn't about that Guardian interview? Is this true or just her go to story? Now that I think about it, her stories about "Pretty When I Cry" and Barry saying her pussy tastes like Pepsi-Cola both have serious dude-on-a-date story vibes. Hmmm... I've definitely noticed this in interviews. Sometimes ther may be a particular trigger, but in many interviews where she melts down it seems like it builds from earlier questions that bother her. Often when she hints at something juicy, but then doesn't tell it feels like it's in some way in answer to an earlier question. Imagine having some schmo singing Y&B at your wedding when Lana is literally in the room next door.
  6. How ya gonna not play "Yayo" after that? This is at least the second time she's seen Dylan? Sounds like a blast. It's nice to see no less than the Washington Post stating as fact that the label creation myth was a "bogus media narrative". Shorter WaPo: Stefani you suck. LOL Lana. That is not what the feminist critique of VG was. cum 2 lanaboards.com wapo writer This just in: California earthquakes found to be caused by the album cover portraits of all the Masters of Every Genre™ in Lana's record collection collectively side-eyeing her at once. Also compare the larger quote this comes from (rather generous about her recycling)... ...to this one (probably more honest) later in the piece: TO BE CONTINUED... (fucking quote limits)
  7. Oh yeah? There it is again. It really seems like her family has some sort of dirty laundry that she's now emotionally ready to share, but doesn't want to until certain family members are gone. And apparently thinks that in 10 years they could be? Or at least that's the impression she wants to give. Lana has done this sort of thing in interviews since the beginning: Hint at things that sound a little scandalous, but then not tell you. Honestly this is a big part of why she still retains some mystique even though we know a lot about her. She's a puzzle you can't quite figure out.
  8. Listen to Elton, Lana. This reminds me I really need to get back in touch with @Monicker. I'm really curious what he thinks of NFR, in particular the production. I love how stripped back the production is because I've always loved her voice so much; it really lets it shine. But I wonder if it's too sparse and simple for his taste. Robopop and Dan Auerbach say hi. Elton gonna fight the Nowels haterz. MOM I miss New York and I miss the music / Me and my friends, we miss rock and roll I bet Lana rekindled her New York nostalgia by reading Lizzy Goodman's Meet Me in the Bathroom recently. This is a really interesting observation. It's not just a get-off-my-lawn old timer's argument. It's a substantive critique about what's been lost with modern production tools even while there are many benefits. Same, Elton, same. Almost all the music I like is either angsty or sad and makes me feel good in a way that upbeat poppy major key stuff usually doesn't. I'd be curious if Lana ever applied to Fordham as a business major, or if she applied as a business major to SUNY Geneseo where she didn't end up attending and had that all straightened out by the time she went to Fordham. TO BE CONTINUED... (fucking quote limits)
  9. omg Took me a while to get around to writing out my response to this interview, but what an unexpected delight.* *(Although I'm interested in hearing perspectives on how he may be problematic.) Me posting in interview threads. Man, between Lana and her interviewers they really seemed determined to out her dickmobile. Also LOL at the broken headlight. Goes perfectly with the smashed smartphone screen. Kudos to Elton John for doing his homework, but anybody else get the sense he's been cramming a bit right before the assignment was due (and Lana did too)? I bet he liked the "Candle in the Wind" reference in MAC. I wonder if he knows about the "Tiny Dancer" references in TNC and FMWUTTT. Yeah, I maintain to this day it wasn't terrible, and less so if you just listened to the audio and weren't looking at how awkward she looked. Definitely some misogyny involved in the criticism, but conflating that with #MeToo is kinda cringey... enough so that even Lana recognizes it. Mmmm... I may be thinking of her Jools Holland performance before that, but I thought I remember her saying on Facebook that she was nervous. I know she said that about Jools Holland. "Arenas" might be an exaggeration, and I'd have to go back and look at the timeline to be sure, but I'm not sure this is quite as inaccurate as people are saying. I don't know how many she'd actually played yet, but around this time she'd been cancelling shows at smaller venues to reschedule at larger venues, the hype was so intense. I mean, other than "Goddamn, manchild, you fucked me so good", "You don't half of the shit that you put me through", "Venice bitch", "I fucked up, I know that, but Jesus", "Do shit to keep me turned on", "Fuck it, I love you", "shit's even brighter you're gone", "And if it wasn't so fucked up I think I'd fuck you all the time", "I'm a fuckin' mess", "'70s in spirit, '90s in his frame of mind", "I want shit to feel just like it used to", "I've been tearing around in my fucking nightgown", "shaking my ass", a Sublime cover, references to Snoop Dogg, Zeppelin, Bowie, the Beatles, the Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Crosby Stills and Nash, Kokomo, Kanye West, live streams, logging off, GPS and or dating apps, iPads, text warnings about nukes, global warming... but yeah, other than that. So... do that? We still talking about music, Lana... or...? TO BE CONTINUED... (fucking quote limits)
  10. How rooted in Oklahoma do we think this guy is? I mean, he still hasn't given up being a Tulsa PD cop even though he's got this other career as a TV law enforcement analyst/influencer. Do we think this guy's ready to go Hollywood and move to California for her? Because she's been blathering all album cycle about how at home she is in California. Do we really see this working out? FWIW, Lana, after your Oklahoma City show seems like the opportune time to ghost him like you did Barrie.
  11. As a beer snob myself, his taking her to Oktoberfest is honestly the least objectionable thing to me about their relationship so far.
  12. This is so funny to me. I'm honestly curious to hear this theory. Just because her management has been fairly hostile to this site.
  13. Do we have more than a couple? I know a couple came from a publishing site.
  14. 'Cause yooooooooooooooooooooou are unfixable
  15. Azealia is that you? How's this for a paranoid conspiracy theory? User Ave Maria joined the day after troll account svr407 was banned and posts from suspiciously similar IP addresses.
  16. Hmm... not that I would necessarily go anyways, but that is spectacularly bad timing for me.
  17. For an interview less than 2 minutes, this was surprisingly informative. Not sure there's a 61 anymore, but Parkside Dr. is an actual street in Lake Placid. I would guess her family probably lived at this address when she was young. This also fleshes out the picture of her post-high school years a little more, giving perspective on perhaps why she enrolled at SUNY Geneseo but never attended and took a year off before going to Fordham, as well as how she was able to finish her degree while recording AKA and perhaps why one article said she dropped out (probably just appeared that way) while most sources said she graduated.
  18. and now she’s at a Lana show in 2019 Ah, I never made the connection that it was a cousin of hers doing backup vocals at that show. Probably a good thing I never got around to contacting her about Early Shows stuff. Great catch.
