NFR part was fine. The rest sucked and after this post I will pretend it never existed. My literal first thought was I'd love to see an "if Lana was black" parody version of the "Bartender" part. This has to be some sort of weird troll of #Fuckstick, right? lol remember when we had Tropico to drag for being overly ambitious and terrible? Simpler times. Yup. Her convergence with Caitlyn Jenner continues. Pour one out for Lana's taste. RIP.

That's too bad. Crossing my fingers for you for next year. At any rate, here's some more suggestions for you for then or for anyone else who wants to see greater L.A. Lana sights. Already a lot of great suggestions in this thread. Most of the streets, intersections, and towns I can think of off the top of my head have already been mentioned by others or in the articles I linked earlier. However, don't sleep on Hollywood & Vine, mentioned in EMGHW, "Burning Desire", & HIAB. And her song "Hollywood" may mention Bel Air Rd. (I'm not 100% whether she's singing "opera on Bel Air Road" or "opera and bolero".) Also, references to "county line" in "13 Beaches" and "Don't Call Me Angel" are, like the "Ventura county line" lyric in The Beach Boys' "Surfin' U.S.A.", references to County Line Beach on the L.A./Ventura county line near... I previously made the case that Neptune's Net might be "the bar where the Beach Boys would go" referenced in "The Greatest", but that Los Angeles Magazine article I linked in my post above makes a good case it could be Chez Jay. Either way Neptune's Net is a place Lana & Barrie frequented and you should visit both. But despite the "We Mapped Every L.A. Reference on Lana Del Rey’s ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’" headline, that article missed a few off NFR. "Bartender" references driving from "here (Topanga? The Canyon?) to Long Beach to Newport (Beach)" on the Pacific Coast Highway at 60 MPH. (Does #Fuckstick know you're speeding?) She also mentions "Laurel (Canyon) down to Sunset (Blvd) in the truck" in HIAB, presumably along Laurel Canyon Blvd. Ah, it would be great if someone knew this. I'll add a couple less obvious ones: I have no idea where it is, but Lana has done a lot of her recording with Rick Nowels, including 85% of LFL (the album), at The Green Building studio in Santa Monica. According to that link, she also did a recording session for "LFL" (the song) at The Village Recorder studio. I was able to pinpoint the exact spot she recorded that first "Coachella" demo on her Instagram. And of course, check out this whole delightful thread (if I may say so myself) about how Tropico is/was a real place between Griffith Park and Forest Lawn cemetery.

I previously laid out my theory that the "bar where the Beach Boys would go" was Neptune's Net in the post quote here: I still think that's a distinct possibility. But this Los Angeles magazine article suggests it could be Chez Jay: Something the article doesn't mention, but adds to the case, is the lyric "Dennis' last stop before Kokomo". The Chez Jay is not far from Santa Monica Pier, which has a shop called the Route 66 Last Stop Shop.

A lot going on here, but can we just pause just a sec (at the risk of embodying the close scrutiny they talk about being subjected to here) to appreciate the sheer terribleness of their taste in men? Lana: I am my only god. Lana as "Religion" plays in the background: Maybe I could save you from your sins? Heathens, all of you. Nah Grimes, the headline's gonna be: LANA'S PREGGERS! Also Lana: "I never met anyone who cared about music as deeply as me" Also also Lana: "my intentions are better than most peoples that I know" Also also also Lana: "cause we were just that good" Ah, now I get why she's dating the cop.

Uhhh... while that's been quite obvious that's your take, it's kind of an off thing to say in response to my comment. I haven't seen the film yet-- I plan to in order to decide if I agree with the criticism-- but are you aware of what the film is about and what the main criticism of it is?

hmmm... maybe not the film I would see in public if I were a celebrity facing a lot of recent criticism for choices inconsistent with my professed liberal values or possibly signaling a right turn in my beliefs
