  1. Never give a cop your phone number. Christ, her managers have always been such assholes to fan sites.
  2. tfw you're so close to understanding white privilege and abusive policing
  3. Hey #Fuckstick, who exactly is "we" and who exactly is "you" in this post? Also, Tropico says hi. Edit: LOL. "Guns & Money" sounds like a Lana song title.
  4. There are a lot of examples where she and/or the interviewer has correctly stated her major was philosophy, but I thought this was notable to highlight given that it's from her own MySpace page and dates to when she was in college. Read the about section at the bottom:
  5. Yes! That's how I found all the tracks on AKA. (Also where I found an entire early album by a lesser known artist that almost nobody has.) I talk extensively about how I first got into Lana, Grooveshark, the early days of Lana fandom, and how I became more active in the fandom near the end of the last part of my Lana Del Reydio covers show podcast starting at about 20:17: #ShamelessPlug Edit: By the way, anyone else remember fuckyeahlanadelrey tumblr? In the early days, fuckyeahlanadelrey and spillitnow were really the only games in town. At least until LDR.FM launched. Me, every time I found a Lana track or even a nugget of information. It's such a satisfying feeling. Though I find her lyrics interesting, I wouldn't say I've ever related to them much or "felt so understood" by them. But otherwise, extremely relatable. New LFL Demo lyrics inspired this post, huh? Shoutout to a fellow old-timer. Oh damn, you're really old-school! In my sleuthing I've stumbled across blog posts from that time that posted Diet Mtn Dew, but I've met few people who can actually trace their introduction to her back that far. Respect. Because I can't resist a challenge... Anything else you remember about the song or artist or even an idea of what year it was?
  6. Cross-posting this here 'cause it's relevant: #Justice4Peggy
  7. Here's another reason why her bringing the cop to the Grammys was bad (and why she doomed herself to lose). From a 2009 Lake Placid area newspaper article about Lizzy (emphasis mine): #Justice4Peggy
  8. I hope UMG's security for this event is better than security for their music publishing sites circa 2015.
  9. Dieu sait que j'ai essayé.
  10. Pardonnez mon Google Traduction français, mais c'est un forum en anglais. Sauf si vous êtes Princess Superstar rappant mal en français ou si vous discutez de Carmen, écrivez en anglais s'il vous plaît. Merci.
  11. It's your lucky day. I accidentally clicked on this thread and I was probably the first person to find that song on his site. I don't have it on the computer I'm on right now, but I'm certain I have it around on another one. PM me and I'll try to get it to you at some point.
  12. yeah but he got a taste for women who are age appropriate but look older Usually LanaBoards is a mess in the absolute worst way. But this is messy in the absolute best way. Never change.
  13. Trash Magic: #Fuckstick's daughter: (Imagine being just a regular person being referred to as "#Fuckstick's daughter" on a random ass music forum.)
  14. I'd imagine @@Blythe does. :troll:
  15. More like the bad song security hall of fame amirite
  16. Allow me to quote from the nice part of my response to some people in the Israel gig thread: Oooh... Got them! I mean, by this logic she should date Richard fucking Spencer...
  17. Afterthought: If any of y'all will design and pay for a "DUMP THE COP" shirt and/or hat (or can come up with something better) I'll fucking wear it. IDGAF.
  18. like omg you guys who cares if Lana is indifferent about complicity with abusive policing THINK ABOUT THE SONGZZZZ!!! This is a bad argument. I'm sure every Lana fan has a line for what kind of person they would criticize Lana for dating. (And if there isn't, that's a problem.) We're just arguing about where the line should be. I draw the line here. I'd argue with this comment too if there was an argument made in it.
  19. JFC. The problem with Cat Power's comment is not that she used the word 'handsome'. The problem is that she's cheering Lana's relationship with a cop who is a de facto opponent of necessary police reform.
