Are we really freaking out about the features again??? Seriously what did u guys expect lol, I remember we all freaked out about Pop 2's features and then it ended up being LEGENDARY so I don't think it's a huge deal. Also she *usually* collabs with genuinely good and interesting artists so I'm excited to hear what she's working on even though I do wish it was a little longer than 15 tracks

I empathize with ppl feeling let down abt how feature heavy this is gonna be. It just feels like a lot even with multiple artists per track, producers as features, etc
 
HOWEVER I am trying to keep my expectations open. We really dont know barely anything about this album besides the few songs we've heard and 2 of those are only lq live clips, there's really no reason to assume anything about what the album will be like, so let's not assume
 
with music I find that if I let go of my expectations / pre conceived notions as much as possible I always end up enjoying it more. obviously that's really tough to do but it's worth it, because in the end you'll be more satisfied if you dont expect anything in particular, just keep an open mind and try to appreciate whatever we end up getting.
 
I hope this post doesnt sound self righteous or something lol, anyway I'm fucking psyched for the announcement whenever it comes, I cant believe we're getting a new full length project from our queen, I have no doubt that she will deliver something truly special

I'm so happy that album is actually coming but fourteen features? 14?? steam 14 by charli xcx  Idk man...I'm kinda bummed out a bit, this is her first proper comeback album after like 5 years and having so many features on it just makes it feel less personal and idk less impactful? I really want Charli to be FRONT and center of this record the focal point and with so many collabs I feel like it's gonna just feel like big collab mixtape but maybe that's what she wants I guess. I'll obviously buy, stream, buy the merch, buy the LP, show up the every uk tour date and shove it down everyones throats but I really wanted a solo charli album. Oh well she better have Sky, Cupcakke and Kim on it and no ugly smelly soundcloud rappers

I hope Rina's on this album. She probs will be judging by her interacting with Charli's posts involving the album, and like, it's what we deserve.

It's the weakest garbage she's ever released. There's a difference between a "minimalistic" and "stripped-down" aesthetic versus being lazy and not trying. I remember being confused when it first came out and all the YouTube and Instagram comments were praising her as the greatest poet ever. The lyrics are just awful compared to the high quality work we used to get. The Sylvia Plath sociopath thing is too cheesy, like Lana is a parody of herself at this point... it's as if she's trying to be ~oh-so-deep~ while writing at the level of an emo 13-year-old who's never written lyrics in their life. Combined with the selfie cover, it's just a slap in the face.
 
In all honesty, I'm glad this community exists so I can vent and be critical of her; if I said this on Reddit or something I'd be attacked for being "too harsh" lmao

If I’m being honest I liked some of the XCX World stuff quite a bit, but a lot of it really suffered from “demoitis” IMO... I think this album will surpass it. If Gone is a good indicator for the quality, we’re in for a really nice era!
 
I mean, there’s not too much of a reason to doubt her with the consistency of her work, and mixtapes especially. BIOYL was a song we’ve all been aware of for forever now, it’s only natural that it didn’t bring a ton of new hype and excitement. In more ways than one really. It was new, but it wasn’t... and there’s still a lot of unheard stuff coming.

Gone is a master piece.
