The way it all just clicked... Love You Then and Now was scrapped from BB because she's continuing to work on Rock Candy Sweet, which it probably fits better on, obviously.

I wonder if she's releasing Rock Candy Sweet alongside Blue Banisters because she knows she'd be skulldragged if she released it on its own. So it's sort of like a peace offering for the critics... before she bashes in their skulls.

yeah, you're right! she's reflecting on her relationship w/ sean throughout the song, while acknowledging she has a new man (clay). or at least that's how i interpreted it.
