  1. We need Lana to talk about the album, though... I'm still so confused.
  2. This song feels like a progression from White Dress + Chemtrails (title track). A deeper dive, more transparently into the present, sort of stream-of-consciousness, heartbreaking and sweet at the same time. I wonder if this will be Track 1 on the new album.
  3. I had the impression BB = Sean/her friends, TB = Her dad, WW = Her mom. I think she lowkey took the breakup with Sean really hard?
  4. The production near the end of Wildflower Wildfire is borderline unlistenable. I love it as a piano track, though. Maybe they'll polish it up before the album's out because it's ..... not done. Blue Banisters, though... That's my baby.
  5. Poor Stacy

    Text Book

I don't think Lana's wrong for including it, and I understand why she did it, so I'm not throwing shade, but the BLM line in Text Book makes me cringe because it feels so awkwardly shoehorned in. It's a shame because I really like the song otherwise. Drag me etc, but I'm just being honest.
  6. The title track is the one for me. That one sounds like an expansion on, or a further development from Chemtrails. The other two tracks are very personal in that it seems Text Book is about her dad and WW is about her mom, but they feel less essential *as songs* to me.
  7. Blue Banisters is the only song I want making the album as of right now. Maybe the rest will grow. Idk. I genuinely feel bad having this reaction.
  8. It's so bad. Mike should have put the blunt down for a minute and listened to that mix with a clear head. If the cover's going to look like shit, the production needs to be on point.
  9. Going to be honest. On first listen, I don't care for the production on any of these songs - they all sound like demos, and they all seem a bit messy/unpolished. I also think she'll get dragged for Text Book's chorus w/ the BLM reference. But still grateful for new music.
  10. I can’t be the only one excited to hear the rest of Blue Banisters (song)…
  11. The date doesn't mean anything, it's related to the storage of the files on the computer, not when the song was completed/finished.
  12. I hope we get a surprise BBC Radio 1 premiere. 15 minutes of new, non-stop Lana. I love hearing her songs debuted to me on the radio.
  13. The snippet’s honestly giving me what I would expect from an album inspired by Angels Forever. That big, open road sound. Ride-ish.
  14. It’ll probably be more rock leaning than anything, but all the guys tagged on Wildflower Wildfire are like, 100% rooted in hip-hop, which kinda makes it even funnier.
  15. Chemtrails is a fantastic album, so I'm not going to shit on it. It's the lonely, reflective road trip album I've always wanted from her. White Dress + the title track alone are two of my all time favorites of hers. And NFR! is a classic, obviously. But I feel very lucky that we have a lot of new music heading our way, and a little bit of a sonic switch-up.
  16. Sounds kind of atmospheric, just like the quiet synths in the snippet of Blue Banisters!
  17. me selfishly manifesting she's pregnant with a double album and not a child
  18. Loving Mike's energy. He's actually made this build up fun, and less of a detour into deep psychosis than usual.
  19. It's a tongue twister for sure. I just tried to say it out loud and I sounded ..... unique.
