  1. This is a good point. I was angry about the Sputnik trolling, but only because nothing about her social media drama had anything to do with Chemtrails. I hate to put it this way, but perhaps she was treating Chemtrails as a sort of sacrificial album, expecting it to get torn apart by the critics due to her controversies and then blast into Rock Candy Sweet to move on for it? It really is surprising Chemtrails has been met with the acclaim it has. But yeah, it seems like she's been prepping this new album for a while, and if she's really going for the jugular like she seems to be, I won't even bother looking at the MC page when it's released because the vibe is gonna be caliente.
  2. I loved this. I just hope that if she goes all out with this angry, cleansing album, she really goes for it. Like, I want this album to be her exorcism. Her Yeezus. I want her to fuck me all the way up.
  3. Yeah, whenever I had rock candy growing up it would be pink or blue or white colored and eaten off a stick. It's just crystallized, hard sugar.
  4. What's she going to talk about now? Lana failing to address global warming in Yosemite? Rejecting to address the dangers of over-exercise in Dance Till We Die? Can't wait for more shitty journalism.
  5. Damn... Plus the controversies she's had over the past 18 months, including that "Fuck you" video in January... I'm ready for her full fledged, chaotic, rock energy. This is going to be her Yeezus. And even if it bombs critically, she still has the universally acclaimed Chemtrails to fall back on. Bloop!
  6. I'm literally shaking, guys, wtf She really said "I'm here for war" Well, I guess if she's gonna floor it, then let's floor it...
  7. Oh, Dealer is on here CONFIRMED. Rock album CONFIRMED. I'm crying. This is going to be insane. She gives zero fucks, my God...
  8. Omg. You guys. I just saw the IG stories without knowing a SINGLE thing else. I thought this was going to be the country thing. Fuck. Here we go...
  9. Wait. I just woke up from a nap. what the fuck is Rock Candy Sweet. I hate her.
  10. summmmmerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ....................................... sizzlinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggg .................................... .. . . . .
  11. I don't really like the title Wanderlust, it's too Taylor-esque for me, Not All Who Wander Are Lost is better, besides... it still incorporates "Wander Lost" into the title.
  12. We'll survive if the review gets included, like I said it'll still be 81+, but I'm just not here for obvious bullshit, lol - if I can spend 10 minutes trying to shut it down then whatevs
  13. One is describing pure sales (physical, iTunes) and the second one includes Streams. If y'all haven't bought the album, you really should now. Still a good debut but she won't be seeing 100K at this rate.
  14. I'm not offended by that review. It's pretty transparent when there's only one glaringly negative review, and it's written by a RYM user, on a site no one really cares about, who looks like this: It's just all rather... obvious. Sputnik could give Lana a 0 and she'd still be in Universal Acclaim on Metacritic. It doesn't matter. And I'm pretty sure him scrubbing his own photos from the internet prior to posting the review has nothing to do with his review, lol.
  15. Nope - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lana-Del-Rey-Chemtrails-Over-The-Country-Club-Walmart-Exclusive-Vinyl/858082007
  16. This song feels like the midwestern core of the album - soaked in sunshine, driving on a long, sprawling, lazy highway with your man, to who knows where in the heartland. The bass and guitar combo here remind me of The Velvet Underground or Spacemen 3. A nice, laid back song that means more to the album than I think people realize. It's all about embracing the journey in this one.
  17. Favorite song on the album. I still stand by my thought that the chorus sounds anthemic in a deconstructed Springsteen way - it takes me back to how he would form a song into something hopeful and resolute. The verses are full of character, the bridge is THAT bridge, the horns are gorgeous... Idk. I know this one's already being overlooked, but I think it's so important to the album.
  18. Yeah, the final production on this made it a smash for me. The dark, smoky, bluesy feel to it really works.
  19. yesssss. My favorite moments on the album: - White Dress: The second verse, the vape noise, the drumsticks being put down at the end - Chemtrails Over the Country Club: The guitars growing in the mix in the bridge, the drum solo at the end - Tulsa Jesus Freak: The random talking in the second half of the song, the intensity of the drums in the last hook - Let Me Love You Like A Woman: "And I want (need) you to come", the second verse in general - Wild at Heart: The second verse , the harmonies at the end - Dark But Just a Game: The section between the first chorus and second verse - Not All Who Wander Are Lost: The random cuts of Jack talking, the guitar and bass riffing off each other, the bridge - Yosemite: The chorus! (And the switch-up on the last chorus/end of the song) - Breaking Up Slowly: Love when they sing together on the chorus. They sound good together. - Dance 'Til We Die: All of it. It's so beautiful. My favorite song on the album along with White Dress. - For Free: Lana's part, of course. But the instrumental is really well done, too.
  20. Beige is basically a pale orange! Interesting.
