  1. The way 'Chemtrails' turned out to be pretty tamed as far as music went, compared to the messy roll out and Lana's episodes of public meltdoen. Just based off of Mike's attitude I can tell this era is going to be messy and I'm lowkey living for it.
  2. Okay Mike is kind of a hot mess, and I like that about him? He's already more engaging with Lana stans and haters than any of Lana's past collaborators/producers. This is going to be good.
  3. I can guarantee you that nobody would say that, bestie.
  4. Realistically speaking, if the album isn't quite finished at this point in time, there is absolutely no way we are getting an album on July 4th, maybe, just maybe, a single around that date? But if the album is still in the works, or on the cutting board, it means a) it's not been mixed yet, which takes up a considerable amount of time and b) Lana is most likely still deciding which song is going to make the final cut (thereby teasing songs that will probably be on future albums (Yosemite and Dealer teas)). I'm all for positivity and manifesting things to happen, but I also deal with reality—and the reality of the situation is that Lana is fickle as fuck and she systematically runs her mouth about her unfinished projects and things that are still in the works. Do I need to remind everyone that we were supposed to get a cover album for Christmas of last year and the second poetry book/spoken word album for March? It ain't happenin' chief. I'm bummed out. ETA: Also you guys mean to tell me that an unfinished, unmastered album will made it to us, on vinyl, cassette, box set or whatever on July 4th???
  5. The good sis keeps putting her foot in her mouth, spewing out random release dates. I want to be delulu as much as the next stan, but she already changed the release date and the name of the record within a month—there is no way we're getting into a new era and getting a brand new album this summer. She is such a clown.
  6. I made dinner for my parents for the past two days. When was the last time you saw your best friend?
  7. Nah it takes two to tango, and Lana comes across as being lazy sometimes. Jack provides exactly what Lana wants; there is no doubt she is in control of this whole thing. Jack just goes along to get along.
  8. It's Jack's production for me. I will say that 'Venice Bitch' is a spectacular song and overall I have enjoyed 'Chemtrails' way more than 'NFR', but I am so over the minimalistic, panio ballad-y and acoustic approach. Besides a few key tracks, she has become incredibly palatable.
  9. An actual vinyl box set situation would be amazing. Manifesting that. Tame Impala did one for the 10th anniversary of 'Innerspeaker' earlier this year. I hope Lana does something similar.
  10. Can you imagine had this song never gone viral...
  11. Time flies, I remember the first time I heard Video Games. Still beautifully haunting. I never knew that it was Lana herself that first described her music with terms like "Gangster Nancy Sinatra" and "Hollywood Sadcore". That's very interesting.
  12. I am in love with her. She's such a beautiful spirit and I am obsessed with how articulate she is with her reaction and interpretation of Lana's lyrics.
  13. I'm genuinely looking forward to hearing this next project, and I'll always find a song or more I like on her album, but after the past two records I'm getting bored of the soft and somewhat subdued approach. We get it, you can do cute piano tracks or pretty acoustic tunes Lana. I'm more than ready for a sonic shift, something bombastic and intense, it's honestly lacking right now.
  14. The way UV was lowkey that though
  15. Everyday someone comes on LanaBoards and wax poetic about music genres and it makes absolutely no sense in any way whatsoever
  16. Maybe because NFR and COCC are literally from the same recording sessions?
  17. Okay... the last part of the snippet sounds really promising to me. But, if there is something that 'Norman Fucking Rockwell!' made me hate, it's those fucking half-hassed/whispery vocals drowned in instrumentation.
  18. I find that almost impossible to believe honestly
  19. They really deserve some sort of lifetime achievement at the next Lipsters!
  20. MANIFESTING A DECENT ALBUM COVER AND A TRACKLIST TODAY
  21. Not y'all thinking the song is going to break into something bigger, more grand because of the synth. The way we thought the title track on COCC was going to be more psychedelic and break into something completely different, because she made the snippet/teaser sound like that way, when it wasn't.
