  1. Did I write this? I feel like she just sings like she doesn't care nowadays, doesn't reach high notes even in the studio, her delivery is very subpar/weird to me, like she mumbles and half talks most of the lyrics. Or overuses reverb or tries to drown her voice with the mixing and ultimately sound like a whisper? In other words
  2. The Greatest really is one of her most beautiful track! FIILY on the other hand... I don't understand, it's a bit nonsensical, the chorus is a tad repetitive, the "I luhhh you" part is... it is what it is lol
  3. I'm really sorry but I just can't stand the mumbling and fuck it I luhhhh ya
  4. is it just me or they try too much to appear socially aware, but they didn't say much... like ok you want to be political, but not everything has to be political these days. I understand that we are living dark times and it's definitely threatening, and there's a need to promote awareness to a lot of issues, but the obsession to appear socially aware/conscious and make everything about the orange turd is quite alienating
  5. It was pretty bold to assume that NFR is on another level lyrically where some of the lyrics are just as laughable/cringey as some on her past records. Personally speaking I find nothing wrong with the all Honeymoon lyrics you mentioned before getting to High By The Beach (which imho is the weakest song on the album) THIS
  6. The Born To Die Tour was mostly promotional, unless I'm wrong? And well Paradise was and EP so....
  7. Random question: Do you guys think she's actually going to change the entire setlist of her upcoming tour? It's the first time she actually has a tour that's called after her album titled, and also right after the album comes out instead of tour in between albums and giving random names to the tours?
  8. the album literally leaked in full last friday, might be potato quality but that's still the same album. Nothing to do with being nervous or insecure, sometimes you just don't feel the music
  9. He's only credited on BAR, which makes sense since it was originally intented for LFL.
  10. I think that's a bold statement. While I don't dislike the instrumentals per se, and think that the majority of the songs on this record sound beautiful, I feel like the final mixing of the songs make them sound a bit dry and flat. Like they lack beats to balance them out (either in the form of synth of percussions). Also I feel like Rick is the one that gets her the most, they literally did her best album together Honeymoon (but also arguably her least interesting too: Lust for Life) Anyway, I'm really eager to hear the HQ version of this album and really make up my mind about it all, so far it's bit hit or miss for me.
  11. My bad, well Lana did herself dirty on her own song then oof
  12. and he also ruined her best unreleased song. RIP BAR.
  13. Pretty sure for the time being Lana is all about working with Jack?
  14. He didn't ruin them because he barely did anything with them, most of them sound really dry/flat and have this sort of underwhelming and really subdued sound. I have nothing against a stripped down (or acoustic, if you will) type of sound, but does it have to be this lackluster and basic?
  15. My thought exactly. I know we only have potato quality as of now, but I feel like even though the songs on NFR are undeniably beautiful... instrumentally speaking a lot of them are more of the same also so far I'm not feeling the final mixing of a lot of these tracks, sounds a bit incongruous to me.
  16. Honeymoon is literally one of her most beautiful songs instrumentally speaking. It's so lush and cinematic.
  17. aaand Jack is all about that dry/flat tone in his instrumentals.
  18. honestly by a show of hands who here honestly think that Jackrabbit Antonoff is on the same level as Rick Nowels, Dan Auerbach or even Rick Ruben? Don't be scared, this is a judgement free zone.
  19. the mixing of the album is in Minecraft quality ‍
