  1. The standard version would like to have a word with you ok, sis
  2. I mean you can, already... they're called Ultraviolence and Honeymoon
  3. The only thing we know for fact is that Interscope were hesitant to fund Ultraviolence, until Paul Epworth came in and said he liked it, from that point I don't think she had a problem with the label? Also, she seemed to be pretty much doing whatever she feels like ever since Honeymoon, which like Ultraviolence, was not meant to be a so called "commercial" album.
  4. It's such a beautiful track I love the mix of actual beautifully produced trap beats and classical/jazzy instrumentals!
  5. It's definitely in the same vein though, badly produced trap beats and bad mixing
  6. Agree, I feel like it sounded kinda cheap. Especially after listening to a perfect album such as Honeymoon where everything was well balanced and beautifully intricate. Lust for Life fell pretty flat imho. Def not a worthy runner up and/or follow up
  7. I don't think that was anything wrong with the production or mixing per se, it's just that it was overwhelmingly trap beats-ish and the lyrics sounded like she tried too hard. More often than not it sounded really bad and cringey.
  8. didn't know there were that many good songs on L*st for Life, I usually skip them all until I FIIINALLYYYYYYreach Get Free.
  9. Syphilis in my teeth From your kiss You're touching me
  10. I looove HIAB, but my only problem with it is that it feels like she mashed up two songs together, it also sounds like an acoustic version of Wait For Life by the dearly departed Emile Haynie
  11. Personally it bothers me on on the other tracks I just feel like she often sound like a whisper.
  12. then again a lot of the tracks have this demo-like quality
  13. Annie is annoying af with her irrelevant questions, she always ask artists "Why aren't you political??!!1!" Like Lana went political on one album and it was also arguably her worst, I don't understand the fascination with artists going down that road.
  14. like around the time she also let Giorgio Moroder hang in there after he actually praised her in an interview. 2014 Lana was a mess oof
  15. Annie Mac ain't no Fearne Cotton and that is a FACT
  16. I bet she's still bitter that their collab was left on the cuttingboard
  17. Fuck it, I luh you... again.. https://youtu.be/9Ld1PN6SZAM
  18. I agree, it all comes down to personal preferences. But to call it her best album... that's a bit of a stretch. It's definitely a worthy successor of her past albums. Is it superior than Lust for Life? On many levels, it definitely is imho. Is it better than Born To Die? Some would argue that her first album is her best, it's definitely what got me into Lana, but I see it as a more mature and intricate album for sure. Is it better than both Ultraviolence and Honeymoon? Absolutely fucking not
