Another Jackoff album would be a loss for the culture honestly. I don't think another album with too many tracks, filled with the most boring, most underwhelming type of production/mixing is warranted at this particular point (except a very few unique key tracks). Besides, why do we keep bringing up the goggles guy when it's obvious that Lana is at least working with Mike Dean and potentially Emile Haynie??

This def sounds more like a personal analysis than anything else. I can see NFR and COCC being sister albums, but Blue Banisters definitely stands on its own, both lyrically and sonically.
-
Also manifesting no unreleased songs for this new album, none
-
Manifesting Lana's psychedelic rock, synth jazz fusion album.
-
That kind of means nothing, yet everything at the same time?

That part in Sweet Carolina: "You name your babe Lilac Heaven After your iPhone 11 "Crypto forever," screams your stupid boyfriend Fuck you, Kevin" it's actually genius.

Text Book is weirdly better at night (I mean even better).

In the category of Christmas songs that make me feel nostalgic and sad for no reason:

Same tbh. I was annoyed by them at first, but now it's kinda whatever. They're not really intrusive, they're just there.

I find Camila Cabello to be annoying as fuck

Both Ultraviolence and Honeymoon deserve as much, if not more recognition from the industry than NFR.

Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
West Coast replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
I thought this was funny. "Thanks to the swift and harsh feedback of social media, many artists are given a chance to correct their terrible album covers before they even get released. In 2021, Lana Del Rey pivoted after fans roasted her ghastly first draft of Blue Banisters" https://exclaim.ca/music/article/worst_album_covers_of_2021 -

That's so sad. Sending the Grants positive thoughts.
-
I remember that of all things, which is exactly why I'm not too worried about the Jack Antonoff discourse.

The straws grasping is back in full force and I'm here for it.

Both 'NFR' and 'Chemtrails' are a collection of leftovers, so I don't see why one could criticize either album for being a bunch of random songs while it's a critique that applies to both. 'Chemtrails' consists of the NFR leftovers, the remains of the so called "NFR sessions" and while 'Blue Banisters' has original songs on it, it literally has like five unreleased/repurposed songs that we know of, possibly more. As much as I appreciate these two albums, I long for a project that's fully original and doesn't consist of songs that she felt as though "needed a home".
