Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
West Coast replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
I just wanna say that the entire album sounds otherworldly on vinyl. 'Text Book' brought be to tears. -
Hopefully no unreleased tracks and more guitar. I love you 'Blue Banisters' you're great and everything, but I think she's done everything humanly possible with piano now.

Maroon 5, especially that douchebag Adam Levine
-
cause he's the most overrated and overhyped music producer of the 21st century

Lana songs you can’t listen to anymore and why?
West Coast replied to Doll Harlow's topic in Lana Thoughts
Old Money, because it brings me to tears. -
I find Lana to be very resilient, because despite being at the center of some controversies and her albums getting ridiculous negative backlash from the getgo, she still managed to make a name for herself in the industry and even be considered a trailblazer years down the line. I hate award shows and their politics as much as the next person, but she's really thriving despite some naysayers, never missing a beat to criticize her.

Lana as well as Jack Harlow, Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Nas X, Billie Eilish and Finneas; BTS, Polo G, City Girls, Normani and Kali Uchis will be celebrated during a luncheon on December 4th! The pre-show/red carpet event will be hosted by Amazon Music. She will be awarded the "Decade Award": "In October 2011, Lana Del Rey released her first single, 'Video Games,” and a star was born. A decade later, she is regarded as one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 21st century thanks to Grammy nominations and critical acclaim for her albums “Norman Fucking Rockwell,” “Born to Die,” and in the last year, “Chemtrails Over the Country Club” and “Blue Bannisters.'" https://variety.com/2021/music/news/variety-hitmakers-jack-harlow-olivia-rodrigo-lil-nas-x-lana-del-rey-1235115745/?fbclid=IwAR0ACGoceAL1tfi2Em9amzR4PBtYkq5KToy3oW3zNVHrk2n3-jl9IMvaUWE

Chemtrails Over the Country Club Merch & Media Drop

The vinyl colour is beyond pretty and I love the cover so much, but I'm definitely bummed out that they used the same gatefold interior. That collage is not it, too DIY for me. Still planning on getting it though. -

I feel that way as well. I think the album is overall pretty great. But I do think that it suffers from being a bit too mellow, there should've been at least one or two more "bangers", in lieu of some of the softer tracks. Although I think the album is a tad to soft, I personally prefer the production on 'Blue Banisters', compared to the one on the past two records, especially the piano.
