She has a secret. She doesn't want to talk about it. Well, not now. Maybe one day. It's ok. -

Some people can't make the difference between bad singing and sinus problems? Really? -

I just want to say that she has reached a level of comfort and confidence on stage that is very sexy... -
Once I paid attention to OTTR lyrics, I was hooked. It's beautiful story telling and it pretty much explains my life in my 20s. I'm in a different place now and I still like the song, it doesn't make me uncomfortable to listen to it, which means it's a great song imo. At first, I thought "My old men" meant "her father", I thought she was wicked! Then I realized...... And I ran to register to this forum to see if there was other people with the same kind of daddy issues. Apparently I'm the only one. Or "was". Those old pervs can go to hell now.

Lana Del Rey NYC Concert - October 23/24, 2017
kik replied to graham4anything's topic in 2017 Performances
I was #5 in line for the Tuesday show and ended up being first row aligned with her mic. Things started to heat up a few hours before the opening of the doors. "If someone is cutting the line in front of me, neither this person nor I will attend the show tonight because this person will be at the hospital and I'll be in jail". It was hard by my tone to define if I was sarcastic or not. There was another line in front of the doors that gave priority entrance to disable people. They usually are assigned specific seats, they don't get front row in a wheelchair, you know... No stress, but there was this girl with crutches. I looked down to her feet. No plaster, no bandage. Just nice booties. Who wear high heels booties with crutches?! THAT BITCH is faking it to get front row!! I know because that idea crossed my mind once. Of course, when I got in, she was at the barricade right in the center, her crutches leaning against it. My internal reaction: "Gurl, you have a few seconds left to dream at the barricade before security escort your motherfucking ass to the back of the venue" and that's exactly what happened, even though she argued like crazy. "I paid a lot for this ticket, I have the right to be here!!!!!!!!!1". Bitch, don't buy from scalpers. She seriously talked like she was being a discriminated and oppressed individual, a victim of ableism. I can't believe how low people can go. I had an great time at this show. Worth the long waiting time outside under the rain and crazy wind (the tents would go flat like a pancake, it was that windy). It gave me a lot of energy, there was electricity in the air. I've been to 5 LDR shows and I've never seen her so natural on stage. Very confident. Happy. The stars were aligned. It was a good day! Great vocals and dancing tbh. I liked the haircut, she seemed more free when she moved. I didn't mind the pants. If that makes her more comfortable, she can sing in a Snuggie™, I'm fine with it. She didn't come down to the barricade, but that was ok. I had my second interaction with her. While a shitload of people in the crowd was shouting Gods & Monsters as a special requests, her eyes were scanning the audience and she looked at me like "What about you, what do you want?" and I looked around me like a dork and said "........Gods & Monsters I guess? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "and she burst laughing. Adorably awkward and precious <3 I was too tired to think, which is good because I had no energy to think about my worries and the fucking meaning of life. I was living in the moment. No singalong, no camera, no purse, nothing to get signed, casual clothes, messy bun. Great feeling! I regret I left the gift I wanted to give her at the YMCA... Well, next time. It's a book that I carried to 3 shows without being able to give it to her, it look so busted lol! The downside: bad acoustics at Terminal 5. I expected it. The sound was muffled, we couldn't hear some instruments, sometimes the sound was flat. Too bad, because Lana and the band was great, but the music didn't reach my soul, I didn't cry which is abnormal. Lana's vocals were great, but I had to close my eyes to hear her better. SOC solo guitar didn't bring me to cloud 9 as usual. The staff at T5 have been amazing with the hardcore fans though. The number system was respected, they were polite and well organized to make sure people wouldn't cut the line. No running, no pushing. Classy. Next shows: Leonard Cohen's tribute in Montréal and her own show in Toronto for the LA to the Moon Tour. Yayyyy! P.s. Thanks to the people who were pushing hard. It's like a back rub and it was a relief to my spine and lumbar, really! P.p.s. 3:14-3:16 lol that girl was also at the show, I recognized her robotic doll voice from this video. Damn, can you imagine being stuck with that voice forever? Can't be taken seriously. People giggled every time she opened her mouth. I thought it was cute. -
O...M...G...! First, Lana talked about the tribute in her NYC second show before singing Chelsea Hotel #2. "And all of that jiving around" has been changed for "And all of that messing around" which is cool, she really gonna sing it her way. Second, Courtney Love has been added to the list of performers and I'm fucking happy because I like her, I was a fan when I was a teenager. Lana will be more comfortable being with artists she already knows/click with. Additional artists announced earlier today: Seth Rogen, Courtney Love, Coeur de Pirate, Ron Sexsmith, Bettye LaVette and BØRNS. ECLECTIC!!! My faves: Lana, Coeur de Pirate, Courtney, Sting and BØRNS.

She's a New Yorker and forever will be.

I love her poofy hair! #humidity

^ true. The "ticket" link on her website still directs to Orlando though. And when I click on "ticket" for the Orlando show, it brings me to a merch page. Whatev'.
-
On ticketmaster.com. Map view, zoom in. I can't find the Fort Lauderdale show on the list on ticketmaster.com. When I click on the link on Lana's official website, it redirects to the Orlando show. It's probably canceled?

If anyone is driving to NY from MTL on the 23rd and want a passenger to share the gaz and our love for Lana, say hello!
-
Some cities are selling better than others... Not sure what's gonna happen. They are probably rethinking their strategy for Europe etc.

I'd contact the Russian stan and ask her to put a pill in Lana's cola. She'd wake up in Rihiveli, wondering if she's in paradise. I'd say wear this latex catsuit, that's where we're going. She'd say why do I have to wear those ugly frog shoes? I'd say look is not everything. I'd protect her from the sharks. She'd find Nemo. We'd blow pufferfish. Talking is pointless, really... And she wasn't a whore Fuck the system do it, do it, do it, do it yeah!

$250. I checked my receipt on my email account from Dec. 2014 and on google.

I bought a single silver VIP ticket using my friend's code during pre-sale for the Toronto show.

I had a look at every venues on ticketmaster for the Lust for Whatever Tour and it's horrible... not sure what kind of miracle will fix that. OH, PA, NC are bad... so many seats left. If I was broke, I would wait and buy last minute on Stubhub. We never know until the end, but it doesn't look good for her. I paid $35 for a $200 GA ticket for Arcade Fire, $13 instead of $55 for Father John Misty etc. I don't like to buy from scalpers, but sometimes............ The Silver VIP ticket was $250 in Dec. 2014. It's $295 now. Those packages sold out in a fraction of seconds back then... now there's plenty left. They should have booked smaller venues... It's a gamble. Hope it will get better for her and her team.

Yes and no. It depends on the acoustic quality of the venue and sometimes her sound guy is not making the right adjustments and the instruments overpower her voice. That's one thing. The other thing is the fans that surrounds you. If they sing very loud, you will hear them over Lana. That happened to me at the Endless Summer Tour. The girl next to me was super excited when Lana sang Summertime Sadness and she screamed the lyrics, I really didn't enjoy that part of the show because of that, but she only screamed for that song, it was fine the rest of the time. Some people don't realize how loud they are because they can't hear themselves, a bit like when you try to have a conversation in a nightclub. And they are not singing on key, which makes it worse. If you are in GA and the sound is more important than the view, I suggest that you move from different spots to find the right one. The sound quality can be drastically improved depending where you stand. I went to see Arcade Fire in an 20k capacity arena. The stage was central. I was standing in GA on the longer side and the sound quality was horrible, to the point I was ready to leave after the 3rd song (it was a spontaneous decision to go to the show, I was not a fan, got the ticket super cheap on stubhub). As I made my way to the exit, the sound was getting clearer and richer on the shorter side. Same thing happened in a smaller venue. Lets not forget the fact that you might end up next to a speaker. That's what happened when I saw MØ, I had an old tissue in my pocket and made some earplug with it and I've been able to keep my spot on first row. The quality of the sound was good, just too loud. It was so bad that the girl behind me asked me for a piece of my kleenex. These are things I wish I had known sooner. I'll be first row for Lana regardless because I want to bathe in her divine aura.

VIP Gold you pay high price for a few bites of frozen hors d'oeuvres and a few sips of cheap champagnette...
-
I know. $370 CAD. I hesitated for a fraction of second when I saw the grand total. I can't pay my rent on time this month
-
I got my Silver VIP ticket for Toronto. I almost passed out when I confirmed the payment and got an 404 error. I clicked refresh and the page said " You're in! ✓ "

I think she has her hair in a ponytail in the video she made to show her new merch and sometimes it looks like a bob from some angles and I thought it would look good on her if her hair was easier to manage. She looks cute. I prefer shorter healthy hair over long damaged princess hair.

That CN tower drawing makes me want to puke. Why not Vancouver? Fuck.

I just calmed down. Ok, so there will be a tribute show to Leonard Cohen in Montréal on Nov. 6th. Lana will be part of it along with Sting and other great artists (I love Patrick Watson!) I wonder how she anticipates it. Lana doing a show with a bunch of other artists, I wouldn't have believed it 3 months ago. For a fraction of second I thought it was a joke. I'm so proud of her! There will only be one tribute show and the audience size will be 15k, that's gonna be a memorable night with a great vibe, I can already feel the love. https://pitchfork.com/news/lana-del-rey-feist-more-set-for-leonard-cohen-memorial-tribute-concert/amp/
