TFJ is more a combination of Begin to Hope and Soviet Kitsch tbh, with a little more electro pop influence. I do think the albums are very sonically similar though. If you like pop though Begin To Hope is certainly essential listening, and one of my all time favourite albums.

Agree with most of the above, specifically victims of abuse being able to feel however they want about his death. I do feel sad for his family though. I think there's an incredible amount of complexity in trying to mourn someone you knew and loved while knowing they were objectively bad as a person. This is only compounded when said person is your child or sibling, someone you have likely known most of your life.

I've really tried to like it, and I'm not opposed to emotional songs, even corny emotional songs generally (like i'm a mod on lanaboards, I can stan for corny shit lmao) but there's something about this track that gives me so much second hand embarrassment I just have to skip or sit really uncomfortably till it's over. Maybe if the vocals were less up front in the production and thus less of a feature of a song I could cope. Agree with the whisper tho, I think it makes the song feel disingenuous? idk.

album is sitting at like a 7/10 for me at the moment. I like Product better currently.
