Idk about that. Persona aside, I think there's an argument to be made that she was more real 7 years ago before the fame really swallowed her up, but eh. She looks happy, though. I hope that's genuine.

Of course she can, but what I'm getting at is that music does not seem to be her priority right now, it hasn't been for some time and is unlikely to be for the foreseeable future for reasons stated. I draw the line at buying a children's lullaby album, though.

I think she's dragging this pre-release out (and out and out) because she knows in her heart she has no interest/plan to make any music after it ... I mean she wasn't even planning to do this one ... I think it'll be a good few years before we get anything else, if ever. She's almost 34 and if she wants to have kids then that can't wait forever, although it's not uncommon for women to have kiddos into their early forties now. She's a real houewife of West Hollywood and that Tesla poem alluded to it, as do all the other poetry references to planting flowers and making a new life, etc ... I think that's the priority

I don't think I will ever unstan, but I'll probably forget about her for awhile if we don't hear something soon. I kinda did that with LFL ... I never actually listened to that album until about 3 weeks after it'd been released because I just got so sick of waiting and went, "fuck it", and then one day I remembered it was out.

I don't disagree. I just wonder if it would've been more impactful if some of the repetition was cut, but the fact that it's 9.5 minutes is just so Lana, so I'm not sure I'd want it to be.

I'm on the fence. Venice Bitch - honestly - I really hate agreeing with Ben on anything, but I agree that it's too long. I think it would have more of an impact if it was shorter. I think around 5 - 6 minutes would've been perfect. Mariners Apartment Complex, to me, feels slightly contrived lyrically - but overall I really like it. I like Hope, but the her delivery is almost hysterical in places and it's very intense, and it's not the type of thing I would put on repeat. I'm not saying that that's a bad thing, just that I haven't played it as much as the other two as a result. So I guess I'm still deciding which is my favourite. I'm trying not to overplay any of them until we get the album because I want to be able to enjoy it in its entirety.
