  1. Leaving Hillsong in the cover of darkness the other night? I had the impression that she must've done this in the last few days because she only dyed her hair that colour, what, last Thursday? Sis is too lazy to dye her hair for one 28-second-long snippet ... she would only bother if she was gonna do other stuff. I think we'll get more from her not long after this song is released. This is just like the Met Gala, don't @ me, let me live amongst my delusions.
  2. Well, it clears up some confusion, because it seemed really odd to release this cover as a lead for NFR. And I'd rather have this cover than have nothing. It really would be self-sabotage to not use the momentum from this release to promote NFR ... so hopefully some NFR tracks will follow shortly.
  3. And let's face it, she only did THAT because the documentary is out and she had to. If she could put it off for 8 months, she would.
  4. Here I was imagining she'd do a kick arse video for it featuring Spooky as a tribute to Lou Dog ... Elizabeth W. Grant, the Killer of Dreams.
  5. :suicide: I need a new keyboard; mine is covered in tears and Coke from laughing so hard.
  6. I just read SYTH's post ... and I'm just sitting here laughing ... and shaking my head. Oh my God that lazy, sneaky bitch ...
  7. Seriously. People are already firing up the BBQ. Fuck.
  8. Yeah she's likely to drop it before the 20th ... likely 3 - 4 days before, possibly sooner.
  9. "Named after Nowell's grandfather Louie Nowell, Nowell's King Louie, or "Lou Dog" as he was called, was Nowell's pet Dalmatian who became something of a mascot for the band Sublime. Lou Dog was often allowed to wander the stage during live Sublime concert performances." Ohoooo I see what she did there with that pic of herself with Spooky. Can we have Spooky wandering the stage during the NFR tour, please and thank you.
  10. Yeah ... it's confusing. No shade, the snippet sounds great, but something odd is going on. It doesn't fit with NFR. I also have an inkling that it's a collab and that she's not singing the entire thing herself.
  11. Don't forget that "You've Got the Love" by Florence is a cover, too ... she really took off after she released that.
  12. I don't hate it but I'm a bit confused about it. I stand by my earlier statement that it doesn't make sense to release a cover to tease an album. Maybe it isn't for the album. In which case, that's even more confusing. Like, did Interscope make her put this out as a compromise because she doesn't want to release a song from NFR? Which is strange af because she's given us snippets of about 5 different ones. So as I said. Confused. I hope there's a method to the madness.
  13. IKR. Naturally, our reaction is positive but the reaction overall is really mixed. Withholding full judgment until the entire song comes out, though.
  14. I'm trying really hard to stay mad at her but the more I play that snippet, the harrrrderrr it is.
  15. Oho, don't play coy, Helmet. Also, there's only one, so "appetizer"
  16. I'm still.puzzled as to why she'd elect to put out a cover instead of an original song, though. Maybe this wasn't (isn't?) going to be on NFR. Who cares; I like what I've heard so far. It's pretty much how I imagined she'd sing that song.
  17. I'd like to pointlessly draw everyone's attention to the fact that her last release had the longest title in the history of song titles and for this one she's even omitting a letter in the first word. #consistentlyinconsistent
  18. It would be cheeky af to put out a cover - on radio, no less - after five months of silence, but I wouldn't put it past our sis. I'm not sure why you'd want to put out a cover prior to an album release, though ... does anyone actually do that? I feel like it kind of defeats the purpose to promote a new body of work (an album) by teasing an existing body of work (a cover). Aren't they usually kept for the album's release?
  19. Wot? No, no. She was the one who gave us snippets over a year before the album release, she was the one who told us it was finished, she was the one who told us it'd be out "top of the year", and she was the one who put out three singles in relatively quick succession (two in a week). She built the momentum for NFR, and then she suddenly threw it into a pit and told it that it puts the lotion on its skin and we are still waiting for Clarice freaking Starling to find it. She created this. I do not condone harassment whatsoever (and I don't think LB members are the main ones partaking in it - most of the people commenting aggressively on her posts seem to be clueless, twelve, or both) but none of this would have happened if she - and her managers - hadn't've mismanaged this entire era. Of course people are going to ask about an album that she has released singles for and that she said was coming out at the top of the year. If it bothered her that much, she'd either say something to shut everyone up, or turn off the comments. She has done neither, so I honestly don't think she cares. I mean, we make jokes, but nobody here actually hates her (and if you do, what are you doing here?). On the off-chance that she does read our 1600 pages of bullshit, I think she'd die laughing, honestly.
  20. We don't know if she was invited but I am assuming she was seeing as she's one of the faces of Gucci. She probably only agreed to go last year because the theme involved Catholicism, though.
  21. Oh my God your brilliant mind. Now I feel even sadder that she didn't.
