No, it isn't: She sings "HiroSHEEEEma" - it's "HirOSHima" (although the "OSH" isn't strongly emphasised). She sings "KeeYO-toe" - it's "Kyoh-toh" It sounds wrong to a Japanese person. Which means it's wrong, because they're Japanese words. If you have a Japanese person handy, ask them. I do, and I did. She's adjusted the syllables to suit the song - understood. That's her prerogative. But IMO it's lazy songwriting to pronounce a word incorrectly to make it fit. (and I never said I was the only one here who could speak Japanese ... but thanks for hot tip). Whatever, the biggest issue (which I mentioned and everyone ignored) is how predictable the lyrics are. I like Marina. But I don't like this song. Fight me.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if she's decided to turn one or more of her poems into songs and that's why it's held up. Which I don't really mind, but there really isn't any excuse that's good enough to justify not saying anything at all about it. She must know that Google said March 29 (she probs arranged that herself ...) and she can't've missed the 765466435788 comments asking about it on IG and Twitter. I can wait for it, sure, but I'm not sure it's a smart move to not say anything at all. It just creates an air of distrust. Like the next time she says something's out on whatever date/month, heaps of people will be like "K Lana".
