Holy fucking shit he's basically committing Social Darwinism by allowing Herd Immunity to happen. Meaning he's allowing the disease to spread through out the country and the weak such as the elderly to die. They are proposing to 'need' 60% of the UK population to catch the virus and get ill to achieve 'herd immunity'. With a death rate of say 1% (probably much higher if NHS can't cope) that is a lot of deaths they are proposing... So they are essentially, gambling with peoples lives. There will be a hierarchy with themselves at the top, their wealthy friends next, with the elderly and poor at the bottom. And they are using 'shock & awe' to usher in new laws, allegedly for two years aswell.

If there is only one good thing to come out of this is that Trump will more than likely have trouble getting re-elected over his handling of the outbreak - https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/14/coronavirus-outbreak-response-trump-us He's let all Americans down including he's suppoters. I don't like Boris Johnson but I can recognise that he's doing a good job dealing with Virus and seems to be listening to his advisors. He's being extremely calm and measured which makes me feel a bit better about everything that has gone on.

Over 1000 people have died in Italy I... Sending cyber hugs to any of you that live outthere... France is heading that way too and to top it off my Prime Minister said to expect love ones to die before there time. Like holy fuck... Also because it's an incredibly important topic I think imo it should be pinned for awhile. Idk just an idea... Edit - Here's some important info on what's happening in France atm - "Emmanuel Macron to address nation tonight as hospitals grapple with surge of infections. France is bracing itself to follow Italy in handling a sharp rise in infections and deaths from the coronavirus pandemic, with the government steadily introducing new measures to stop the spread of the disease and President Emmanuel Macron preparing to address the nation on Thursday evening. “The Italian scenario: we have to prepare for it,” said Jérôme Salomon, director-general of the French health department. Eric Caumes, who heads the infectious diseases department at the Pitié Salpêtrière hospital in Paris, said he was seeing sick patients arriving every day with severe respiratory infections. “Intensive care units are filling up very rapidly,” he said in a coronavirus debate on LCI television. “There is a risk that we’ll have to choose between coronavirus patients and the rest. We’ll soon be in the same situation as Italy. So far, France has recorded 2,281 confirmed coronavirus infections and 48 deaths, but the numbers are rising rapidly and a comparison of the data suggests the country is following the same trajectory as Italy with an eight-day delay. Italy has had more than 12,000 cases and 827 deaths. Mr Caumes has called on his government to immediately take the same drastic measures as Italy and severely limit movement around the country and contact between people. France has so far ruled out a complete shutdown or closure of the borders, although it has banned meetings of more than 1,000 people, stopped visits to old people’s homes because of the vulnerability of the elderly and closed schools in various parts of the country with known coronavirus clusters. It has announced no plans to delay nationwide local elections due to be held on the next two Sundays." https://www.ft.com/content/00d2866c-6471-11ea-b3f3-fe4680ea68b5

I work in an office, but my sister is in retail and I'm so sacred for her in a few ways - 1. She is heavily exposed to the public which means she's at a higher risk. 2. She's had to deal with customers being extremely abusive BC they can't get hand sanitizer, toilet roll ect. Apparently one of her mates got called the hard c word BC they had no stock left 3. Her work place has not given her or her colleges ANY safety precautions what so ever and there union rep who is supposed to deal with such issues like this has gone AWOL. My Mum and Dad are both over 60, so they are at a higher risk to. They both have medical problems and I'm really worried for the pair of them.

The After Hours short film that he made was pure excellence. Thank God there's a mainstream male artist willing to put time and effort into literally everything. We're in for a treat with this album

China has condemned a Fox News presenter's 'arrogance', 'prejudice' and 'ignorance' after he said Beijing should apologise over the coronavirus outbreak, which has killed more than 3,300 people worldwide. Jesse Watters, who hosted an American talk show, made the comments half-jokingly as he said 'I'd like to just ask the Chinese for a formal apology'. Other participants of the programme, called The Five, chuckled when the commentator launched the rant on Monday. Mr Watters added: 'I expect a formal apology tomorrow. Doesn't matter if it comes from [President Jinping] Xi or the embassy.' Most of the five-member panel laughed again. When Mr Watters' co-host Dana Perino asked him 'what if the outbreak started here', he claimed there was a reason why the epidemic had started in China. He said: 'Because they have these markets where they're eating raw bats and snakes. 'They are a [sic] very hungry people. The Chinese communist government cannot feed the people. 'And they are desperate. The food is uncooked. It's unsafe. That is why scientists believe that is where it originated from.' He concluded: 'And according to The New York Times, Dana, the Chinese government has been very deceitful and deceptive in communicating the extent of the infections to the world. 'So, as I said, tomorrow I expect an apology.' ‐------------------------------------ Beijing did not respond to Mr Watters' demand on Tuesday. However, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs today lashed out at the American presenter. Zhao Lijian, a spokesperson from the Ministry, blasted the host's remarks as 'ridiculous' and 'laughable'. 'They completely exposed his arrogance, prejudice and ignorance towards China,' Mr Zhao said at a daily press briefing. The spokesperson stressed that epidemic diseases were the common enemies of mankind and patients in all countries were victims. He said: 'The World Health Organization has repeatedly stated that stigmatisation is more dangerous than the virus itself. 'At this time, individual people spread such illogical remarks, what are their motives?' Mr Zhao added that there was no basis for China to formally apologise because there was no confirmed conclusion yet on the origin of the virus. He argued: 'In 2009, the H1N1 influenza outbreak in the United States spread to more than 214 countries and regions. 'In that year alone, [it] caused at least 18,449 people to die. Did anyone require the United States to apologise?' The spokesperson concluded by praising his country's preventative measures. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8078297/amp/China-blasts-Fox-News-host-said-Beijing-apologise-coronavirus-outbreak.html Seriously some people are disgusting and deserve to be sent head first into the sun

I literally can't afford to self isolate myself if I do catch it. There's no way in hell that I'll be allowed to have two weeks of sick pay

I imagine Gaga like Adele are still in complete charge when it comes to writing the tracks. I do like a fair few tracks listed but some are trash especially XO and Burn. There pure dumpster trash imo.

C2C and Joanne were made to clean and repair her reputation with the GP. Even the cynic in me knows it worked wonders and it was a damn smart move. ASIB was a world wide success, Shallow was a mega huge hit and she did an fantastic half time super bowl show before all that. I think after everything she went through with ARTPOP she realised that if she wanted to make another truly successful dance/pop record, she'd have to wait much further down the line to make it happen and to make it simple. Hence what we got a few days back...

Well shit seems like most critics love the track - I don't usually agree with him much but he's spot on with this review.

Lady Gaga has remained one of the biggest pop stars on the planet without actually making much pop music. She abandoned her synths and donned her best cowgirl drag for 2016’s rootsy Joanne, and while she buried a few in-character bangers deep in the soundtrack for A Star Is Born, that movie’s enduring hits were classic power ballads that would’ve sounded just as comfortable in 1978 as in 2018. “Stupid Love,” her new single, is her much-ballyhooed return to pop-as-genre. It’s “classic Gaga,” that imperial phase at the end of the ’00s when the only thing bigger than her hits were the music videos and conceptual art pieces surrounding them. The song gestures toward that era without achieving the same kind of grandeur. Those big-budget mini-films were often accompanied by music that was just as audacious; the bulletproof hooks spread throughout The Fame Monster and Born This Way were coated in hair metal grease and industrial grime. If the brawny, shiny disco of “Stupid Love” sounds like anything in her catalog, it’s a sped-up version of “Do What U Want,” a song mostly erased from the public record because of its prominent R. Kelly feature. The video’s embrace of late-’90s JRPG energy pales in ambition and scale compared to “Bad Romance” or “Telephone.” And yet it still feels like “Stupid Love” is filling a void in our downcast, anxious, genre-fluid landscape: The only other artist working in this mode is Dua Lipa, whose Future Nostalgia singles—big, bright, and heart-on-sleeve—have pushed her into a new echelon of pop stardom. There’s an appetite for this kind of unapologetically exuberant sound, one evidenced by the communal frenzy for the leaked version of this song earlier this year that earned a tongue-in-cheek reprimand from Gaga herself. “Stupid Love” may not reposition her at pop’s bleeding edge, but it captures just enough of the goofy, indomitable spirit that made her so refreshing in the first place. https://pitchfork.com/reviews/tracks/lady-gaga-stupid-love/

Finally something fun, happy, full of color and life! Also here's a little interview Gags did with Zane Lowe, discur her song "Stupid Love", working with Tchami, BloodPop® & Max Martin and what to expect of her next album. https://music.apple.com/us/post/idsa.e8ad7cc0-59c3-11ea-b990-4d970530bffb?app=music&ign-itsct=con_zanelowe_newmusicdaily_null&ign-itscg=80029

With very late 90's/early 00's fashion, cyberpunk and vaporwave entering the mainstream in a big way her aesthetics for this era makes complete sense. I'm here for it 100%. We desperately need camp, high-octane theatrics to breathe new life into pop music. Its been too somber for waaaay to long Chromatica is a great name for an alter-ego or album tbh (Better yet both) For some reason it reminds of a modern take of Barbarella.

So I read online that apparently North Korea killed an official that violated the quarantine put in place. https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/02/22/covid19-pyongyang-wuhan-virus-china-kim-does-north-korea-have-the-coronavirus/ I would definitely recommend reading the article btw.

I'm really positive and fully on board for this era. It's been way to long since we have had Popga...

Exactly and I really like the comparison! She definitely needs a top class creative team behind and around her that can help her execute her ideas. Otherwise she seems to make really questionable decisions.
