  2. This ties into the last thing I added into here, but I really do think a sound similar to mazzy star's she hangs brightly album would be stellar. specifically the title track, blue flower and ghost highway (i put blue flower and ghost highway in a spoiler tag lol). I love when lana uses the heavy drums and guitars, and I really want that on RCS. and like I said, with jack, I think he could pull that off if he and lana both wanted to. venice bitch is proof of that to me. that song is pure magic and i'd love to have more songs like it.
  3. When Jack surprises us all and we get instrumentals like this >> (more of a personal manifestation than what I think the album's going to sound like, but let a girl dream )
  4. "I go back to Lanaboards... Take a look at the RCS thread... What the fuck happened here? I guess that's what they meant when they didn't want Jack"
  5. In terms of jack producing this album, I'm going to be hopeful. I think that if she tells him exactly what she wants the album to sound like (which could honestly be anything at this point lol), he can pull it off. This is the same man who produced venice bitch, after all. Lana's never been one to have all her albums sound the same and I don't think she plans on doing that any time soon. edit: also, right now, all we have is information from a fan who met lana last night. if it's true that jack's going to be the only producer at the moment, that could change at any point in time.
  6. For this album, i want vocals like the DTWD bridge and raise me up
  7. No clue why, but for some reason when lana first mentioned LMLYLAW in 2019 i thought it would be a really jazzy song with a melody like the other woman (the unreleased one). like, “let me love you like a woman, like a woman, like a woman” with super jazzy brass instruments and bass in the background, the instrumental being all in all similar to heavy hitter. that’s probably why it took so long to grow on me, but i actually listen to it quite a bit now

  9. Some of the things being said in this thread that has literally nothing to do with lana's appearance and is about a potential album are super hurtful. i get that this is a forum dedicated to her, but I feel as though some people are crossing the line. it is not any of our places to say that lana should be thinner. and i don't think some people realize that when they say these things about lana, other people are going to see that and it's going to cause them to look at themselves and their own bodies differently. Bottom line: lana's weight is nobodies business but her own. stay respectful
  10. I just found out there's a street about three hours from me called Nikki Lane lol, maybe it's a sign that this album will be a good thing after all
  11. I saw some people on twitter saying they met her tonight and she was really sweet! I’ve always loved how lana treats her fans when she meets them, hoping that’ll be me someday
  12. I've honestly never been fully sure about my album ranking, but i think right now it might be: NFR Honeymoon COCC (Could be switched with Ultraviolence) Ultraviolence (Could be switched with COCC) Lust For LIfe AKA Born To Die (and Paradise, I know they're separate but I can't pick just one lol) Sirens
  13. ....Cute socks ok in all seriousness, she looks so pretty in that selfie (and the one on instagram as well, as always), sending her love
  14. the saving grace of the final version of lolita for me is the harmonies and how they play into the instrumental. the "i know what the boys want, i'm not gonna play" and the "whistle all you want, but i'm not gonna stay" are so haunting and it's fantastic. personally, my favorite version of lolita is the 2nd demo.
  15. I'm suddenly very here for a country album if we're getting these two songs
  16. me seducing dan auerbach to convince him to produce this album with nikki and lana
  17. I'm not going to go all in on this one just yet. this is the same woman who told us we were getting a cover album on Christmas and a 25 unreleased track album so i'm still a bit skeptical. however, if it does happen, i actually don't think i would hate it even though i don't usually like country. i like breaking up slowly, so i'd be okay with an album of songs somewhat like that.
  18. I think it's really important for everyone to remember that at the end of the day, lana is a person just like any of us are - when we go through break ups, we would rather not have people celebrating it and being invasive. i feel as though it's a bit rude to see it as just "ultraviolence 2.0" or something like that. it's best for everyone to send her love and well wishes and leave it at that.
  19. happiness is a butterfly pt. 2 called sovereignty coming to RCS
  20. For some reason the pic + caption reminded me of the lust for life album trailer. i love the barrettes, and i hope she's doing well
  21. i've never really understood why lucky ones is so hated - the strings on it are gorgeous (especially the ending) and sure, the lyrics are a bit basic, but i think they're really sweet. it's not my favorite lana song, but i do enjoy listening to it and i always have
  22. She looks so cool here, the sunglasses and the barrettes >>>
  23. the rollout for this album is reminding me a lot of a lana release - overdrawn. it's certainly not my favorite way to go about it, but i'm kind of used to it. i find myself constantly in this limbo with marina of either being super excited for the album or it completely slipping my mind all together. no matter how long we have to wait for it, i'm really hoping this album is worth that wait
  24. i just can't get over how strange this listing is?? there are so many songs that are placed either way higher or way lower than they should be. i totally get that taste is subjective and everyone likes different songs, but i can't imagine living in a headspace where i think that the burnt norton interlude is better than black beauty. also: still bitter about heroin only being at #57
