personally I don't mind if lana wants to keep things more lowkey from now on (well, from NFR on). with this album, though, i feel like it'll have a lowkey rollout but the album itself won't be lowkey at all

i would literally pay lana to work with david lachapelle for this album, the shoot they did together is one of my favorite shoots she's ever done. this would be such a cool concept for RCS

when lust for life (the song) came out, i thought the weeknd was saying "heteros for life" instead of "and a lust for life" at the part where he and lana switch off

i've been thinking about what this album may be like lyrically, and with the wild one leak today, i'd love songs lyrically similar to that. something like heavy hitter would be super cool too, the way that song is written is gorgeous and so well executed. i also wouldn't mind songs with bolder lyrics like MPG or FMWUTTT

is there something in the water in this thread? there's always the most chaotic discussions in it

it depends on what type of country it is for me. if it's a more modern country sound with influences from other genres in it (ie: rock and/or blues), or if its remnant of something like queen of the gas station then i'm all for it. but if it's pure yeehaw beer on the back of a pickup truck, i can't say i'd be thrilled

right now, i don't think that RCS is gonna be the country album that Nikki discussed. i'm not even sure we'd get that album, there's been so many projects that have been talked about and never come to fruition. we'll have to wait and see, of course, but something tells me that RCS isn't something that's going in the country direction. (lana PLEASE don't prove me wrong)

i played the album for my five year old nephew today while babysitting and his favorite was tulsa jesus freak, glad to know i have some taste in my family tree yosemite is still my favorite though

i've been listening to a lot of lizzy grant era stuff today, and i think something sonically similar to the mermaid motel demo would be so cool for this album

RCS will be the cool older cousin that all the younger cousins are jealous of

mentioned this in a status update, but seriously, this album was made for vinyl. each track sounds so intimate. it's so beautiful

COCC is the album for spring and RCS will be the album for summer, predicting it and manifesting it

i would love some psychedelic stuff on this album, maybe that mixed with the hawaiian glam metal concept realistically though, i think this might be another folk-type album

something i've been wondering is what the title track (assuming there'd be one) would sound like/if she would even include the words "rock candy sweet" in the title or just do what she did with the NFR title track

i can totally see this album being similar to thunder and california in terms of sound, which i wouldn't mind. i can see RCS having songs somewhat similar to AKA too (specifically oh say can you see, pawn shop blues, and for k pt 2.).

i've never been one to care too much about charts, but this is fantastic! so happy for lana, another #1 in the UK

part of what makes this pre-release so exciting is that we have no idea what the album is going to sound like. lana is so good at switching it up for each era and i have a feeling this one won't be an exception
